So as the title says wiiflow will work sometimes. I will start up a game and it'll have a black and white loading bar at the bottom and start up, other times it reboots me to the wii system menu after 30 sec. with nothing but a black screen beforehand. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am on the most current version of wiiflow which is 4.1.2, I also know its not the game because I'll try new super mario bros and it'll work and sometimes it won't. Never had these problems on my old wii. My video source is Ntsc and the games don't work at all if its on default. Please help.

You is using boxcovers? There a problem with some covers while reading and making the cache.
If it is the problem you will need remove all covers, empty cache and add test after add 10 or 20 covers... If all ok, add more.
When the system crash, clean the cache and test again, one of the last covers will be the source of the problem, corrupted cache file.
If not relation with the covers, then try reinstall the channel for vwii.

Really its one of the covers? Ill have to try it out. My usb loader gx crashes before it can even start and cfg is being a pain and won't read my config.txt and when i get it to do that it won't read my usb. Vwii is such a pain compared to the standard wii so far.

How come it wasn't a problem in the old wii?

Is a possible problem. Can happen in the old wii too.
Try without covers, see if the problem stop. If not, try change the channel install for vwii. and try take another wiiflow version or change ini to charge from sd or hdd.

Is your USB drive being mounted correctly? I have this weird bug where WiiFlow doesn't want to mount my drive and just crashes if I try to. Therefore, I open something else that mounts the drive (I use WiiExplorer), then it works fine. Kind of annoying to do this every time I play, but it worked for me.

So going to wiiflow to check this problem out i realized that there is not an option to get rid of the covers, any ideas on how to do this?

Alright, I obviously just had to go into my sd card in wifflow it'll say coverflow. So I'm deleting them all now to see if they start up without a hitch this time. Hope to get back with good news

Well that was not the problem since i still have the same issue even without covers. Any other reasons as to why it doesn't work every time? I also uninstalled and reinstalled wiiflow v4.1.2 so that is also not the case. Please help

For one you shouldn't repeatedly post after you've already posted, just use the Edit button.

And try using Wiiflow on a USB instead of an SD card I had this problem. If it persists try using either USB Loader or Configurable USB Loader. Configurable USB Loader is best for large HDD's if that's what you're using.

usb loader and cfg won't work for me, my games are also on my usb. Unless you mean to launch wiiflow off the usb from homebrew but i didn't even know that was possible. If you could explain that would help.

I also had problems until I found a solution that worked for me:
Wiiflow on a SD card (2gb) in the SD slot,
Another SD card (32gb) in a 2$ card reader plugged into the top USB port at the back with the ISOs on it.
It became stable right away. I was even able to install the WiiFlow channel but I still leave my setup as it is. Works every time!

Try a different USB loader. as much as I liked Wiiflow as my first USB loader, it came with problems. I prefer USB loader GX, I haven't had any sort of crashes like I did with Wiiflow. with Wiiflow I had a 50.50 chance of it loading the first time, USB loader GX is 100% success rate. unless I have to edit game loader settings...otherwise it's good lol

idk why the other two won't work for you. any details?

I'm using a 16GB SD card in the SD slot and I have way to many games to put it onto another sd card, so i have a 700GB HDD with a y cable to give it more power since its a passport

I get this every time Usb loader GX tries to start, never gotten past it and never used gx before.

did you make sure to follow all of these general steps when softmodding?

I picked the d2x-v10-beta52-vWi because of the better NAND emulation. Maybe that's the issue?
