Freezing is traditional for the early versions of Dray's hacks. Don't worry about it. And it's not due to Wood, though the patch does include AP patching.

lol do you enjoy just bashing the hacks and saying a ton of wrong info all the time while coming off as this huge elitist guy? The freezes aren't a part of the hack, it's a user problem

If that's the case then, what am I doing wrong then?
On my R4 Wood (v 1.54) I'm getting a lot of freezing in Route 20.
And I'm pretty sure that I patched it successfully, due to the text, encounter, etc...

I know people couldn't see my previous comment from the last page and I don't want anyone bashing bwburke94 for my issue.

I'm still having trouble. I don't know.

- CRC matches, using clean roms with NO AP patches (Trying both white 2 and black 2)
- Trying with 3 different patchers
- Trying the rom, the rar file itself (who knows...)
- Tried throwing pens at the screen
- Tried the opposite patch on each rom
- Tried patching roms with 2 different APs before hand, Just-in-case I got some results

I'm getting one of two error messages, neither error is very informative, and no results at all

First error possible is "invalid checksum, failed" numbers numbers numbers. This happens in xdelta UI and xDelta UI Mod
Second error possible is "XD3_INVALID_INPUT". This only happens in DeltaPatcher.

I read that XD3 means wrong rom, but wow, I've tried like 12 different combinations. I never remember BB1/VW1 having issues like this..

I dont use DeSMuME or whatever the popular DS emulators are. I load these on an R4iDS. Each failed rom always says "Corrupted format" when loaded.

that happened to me too , the problem is your original black 2 / white 2 .nds file is already patched, try downloading a black2/white2 Clean Rom

Can this really be the case? I've must have tried 6+ different sources now, always getting this same result. My CRC32 even matches that of a clean rom, For white 2, that's B72BBA42. I dont have a black 2 file on hand at the moment, since I'm largely more concerned with trying to patch volt white 2.

EDIT:
Properties of my file, CRC matches that of a clean file.

Hey Dray. I tried to patch my White 2 rom with the xdelta UI thing you provided. It doesn't work. How do you do it?

I decided to try BLack 2/BlazeBlack 2 patch. No luck here either. the CRC of my clean rom is 8A42D36E.

Still getting an XD3 Error... and I'm not the only one getting these problems it looks like.

WOW, N's Reshiram, as well as Hilbert's and Hilda's PKMN, go over Lv. 100!!! Hilbert beat me once, actually... X( Anyways, a few things:

-The God Stone: WHAT THE /%)/% IS IT USED FOR?!
-Keldeo, Meloetta, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus and Shaymin all appeared before I talked to the corresponding Veterans... And the Giant Chasm Veteran was there the first time I entered it, just before battling White Kyurem.
-A memo would have been nice for the TM's on PWT... I bought them all and then, when I ran across one on the Overworld, I couldnt pick it up... A warning on the Documents would be nice.

Also, does anyone has a USRCHEAT.dat or CHEAT.dat that includes Hollow Regenerator and a Nature Modifier WITHOUT MARKING? I would really appreciate if someone could post it here...

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
