Hello there,

Been having a problem with my 3ds for quite some time, it doesnt boot to the Home Screen like normal. At first i thought it was totally bricked, however, i can access both the Luma Rosalina Menu from the static black screen, the godmode9 menu on boot by pressing start and the Luma config menu by pressing select on boot, no issues there.

I've did a ctrtransfer, updated the Luma to the latest version, took out the SD card and tried to boot from the console after installing Luma to it, nothing has worked.

Is there any way that the Internat System Files got corrupted or something? And is there a way to replace those? Or any other solution? Thanks

Details are important, sir. What exactly did you try?
I did what the guide instructed: Renamed the Nintendo 3ds folder on my SD to Nintendo 3ds_Backup to see if the issue was in the files in the folders inside. I also deleted the 0000008f folder from /Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/extdata/00000000/

Any other sugestion? Or should i give any other detail?

Hmm. Well, you said you already tried a CTRTransfer.

Did you do the other things suggested in that link? Do you have ARM11 handlers disabled? Did you try updating your system in recovery mode?

You don't want to disable ARM11 exception handlers; you want to make sure they are enabled.

This is discussed in the page I linked to.
The option is not shown on my menu

Oh, hmm. Seems that option was removed in Luma 11. (It has certainly caused enough problems in the past.) I shall make a Github request to have that section updated.

Well, if updating in recovery mode didn't help, I am out of ideas. :-/ It is tempting to suggest digging around in the NAND, but that is dangerous and I don't believe I've read about it resolving this problem in the past. Did you also do the step of leaving it on the black screen for ten minutes?

Otherwise, perhaps try the Discord. (I'm afraid they're going to ask all the same questions a second time, though.)

I've left it for over ten minutes, i'll try asking on the Discord server then, where do i get the link to it?

You should check the sd card for errors with h2testw, obviously backup your data somewhere safe on your pc. Then format the sd as Fat32 32kb clusters then run h2testw with the "read & write" setting.
I would also make sure the slider on sd card adapter is in the "unlocked" position, or try with another one.
If the sd card is not faulty, you should try doing a ctrtransfer. Don't transfer any of your files back apart from Luma3DS files when do so.

Once again, it is in the page that I already linked to.

If it was a problem with the SD card, then why would it still not work with the SD card removed?

That was already mentioned in the first post.

I have this exact same issue. I haven't found anything pertaining to a solution, only a list of things I've tried:
a SYSNAND restore, a CTRNAND transfer, reinstallation of B9S, and LUMA3DS. (I think those are all the procedures I've run) It will not boot into recovery mode either, (the recovery mode initiated through holding L+R+DPADUP+A), but the LUMA3DS boot menu still works, Godmode works fine, and so does the Rosalina menu. Once or twice I have heard a fraction of a second of the home screen music when I shut it down, and once I got the Power Off menu. (it refused to return to the home menu). Another thing I have discovered is that the little snippets of home music and the power off menu occur sometimes when I turn it on then hold down the power button and then release it at exactly the right moment. (pressing down a couple of seconds before the screen lights up and releasing a second or so after the screens light up)

The pivotal question is: does something different happen if you have your SD card removed?

Also, did you leave your unit alone for ten minutes on the black screen?

I left it for over 12 hours, removing the SD card has fixed things in the past (it has done this before) but not this time.

As addition to CTRNand transfer with gm9 exist CTRNand transfer with Decrypt9 method, which goes deeper into the system. For differences, explenation and usage see CTRTranfer (Type D9).
After setting everything up to perform this CTRTransfer (Type D9), my system seems to be on a loop with the files here is a video

It seems to be complaining about a file named 11.15.0-47U_ctrtrasnfer_o3ds.bin.sha . Do you have this file?

(It's just a SHA-1 hash and should be easy to replace if necessary.)

Yes, i have it, it says that the file is "too small", but the file has always been 32 bytes (is not a big file)
