Ohhh my. What a great movie, serious dude, sweet! I miss those times. It seems like all anyone ever wanted to do in the year 2000 is party. No one really had a care in the world and you could tell. I dunno about you guys, but this was probably the prime of my life! I was a senior in high school, had half day, and jazz band. So all I ever did was host small parties at my dad's house because he worked and no one was ever home. My sister was in college, so I had this bad ass house all to myself. Gosh, fond memories of hitting homemade bongs named leatherface and getting completely wasted during the day time! I am definitively not one of those people who can say that they had a bad childhood. It's nice how a movie can bring back those memories, ahhh nostalgia. I get that feeling every once and a while with video games too, like when I first played skyrim a couple months ago, made me remember the days of staying up late playing daggerfall (yes I know I'm old). Gosh, really is it just me or does it seem like the 90's weren't so long ago. Ouch, 20 years has gone by and it doesn't feel like more than a couple years. Anyways, I pulled out my acekard2i earlier tonight (I sleep during the day if you haven't figured this out yet), and loaded the newest version of NesDS on it.
Decided I wanted to play one of the games my ambassador status and Nintendo hasn't given me the privilege to play again, Little Nemo: The Dream Master. Ohh my, this is such a classic game. It was one of the first games that I played so much that I would go to sleep and dream about (ironic yes because of the title, but since has happened with almost every awesome game I've played). Still this game to date is still a great play. I mean, it was almost Super Nintendo esque with having "rideable" animals and immense levels, each one completely different. I wish games today were as crazy awesome as they were then. Now a days I think kids are spoiled with the graphics in games that no one really cares about gameplay.
I mean look at the orignal NES Contra. How many of us can say we beat that on our own? How many of us know the konami code by heart! haha, cheat codes for heaven's sake!!! Kids now a days can pay real money and get "cheats" in games. That's just pathetic. I dunno, I guess there are a few games that I still get excited for, I mean, Kid Icarus looks awesome, and I can't wait for the new Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City! But still, the hype usually doesn't stand up for long. I'm getting sorta tired, it's 10:30am and I've been up since 9 or so last night. On top of that I've been sick, again, with probably more diabetic complications... also stressing out over finding new friends!
I'm glad however that I finally decided to start an account on GBAtemp, and I've met some really cool people, (and some losers)... but honestly everyone has been totally the bomb! I also wanna start playing piano more, and contributing some video game covers again on my youtube channel. So if anyone is reading this, give me a lil motivation so I'm not so lazy! Also someone out there has got to still play RE: mercenaries! Here's to new friends and old games!
Cheers World, you might be sick and sad at times... but I still love you!
