Pre ordering games outside the country. (Short read)

For the first time ever, I pre-ordered a game outside the country I live in. Why, well I'll tell you why. Inti creates soon to be released title Gal Gun 2, That's why. Now before you make fun of me and roast me and other shenanigans just based on the game alone or what type of person I am which I hope no one does, just finish this please.

The reason why I did was cause of a promotion. Inti Creates on their blog mentioned a premium package edition "Gal Gun 2 Free Hugs edition" what a deceptive name for the package cause it's anything but free! Anyway Rice Digital a store in United Kingdom was selling this "EXCLUSIVE" package to anyone who wants it. It's only at their store. I really didn't want to order something outside the country especially a game, I never done that before, so I sent both Inti Creates and Rice Digital A Email but never replied. The date of release was getting closer, it's April 24. So I just decided to go ahead and do it.

Before you ask, it's meant for USA patrons despite being in UK, even if it's another country, I always aim to get the proper version of the game unless there is no option for it. Region Free is a good thing and glad to have but only if necessary. Anyway while I'm glad i managed to secure a order before it went out of stock, it cost me $130, the game itself i could have gotten here in this country... somewhere (I couldn't even find it listed at gamestop) $60 + tax, but the collectors edition is $100 and $30 for shipping. Free hugs huh? And to make it worst, the email I got today says it won't be arriving until two days later, thursday 26, after release date.

Okay I know when I order stuff It comes on release day. My nintendo switch pre order from best buy came on Friday March 3 2017. Any other game I also ordered. If you wondering why I made this post, maybe i'm just a bit disappointed, wondering why this collectors edition is exclusive to this one store only in another country, why wouldn't they make it available here, having to pay for shipping for a already expensive purpose and receive it two days late of the proper date of release. I usually just avoid ordering stuff outside the country, I have done so before though like NDS flash carts.

Anyway I'm done, I promise it be short but I'm just a bit disappointed. I'll still have the game and play it, just at a expensive and extended time period.

I mean... Two days after release is really good for a foreign order? I had to wait two weeks for my copy of MHXX from Japan. I get it's disappointing it's exclusive to a foreign store (it's pretty weird tbh) but that kind of wait time isn't really bad at all.

I don't know the exact details of your order Scarlet
  1. Is the game scheduled to be released in your region?
  2. Is it two weeks after the games release date in Japan or Your region?
  3. How much time was the order placed before the order shipped?

It was an order from Amazon JP that was made three months in advance, that came two weeks after its Japanese release. Honestly, two days after release is really good. Trust me mango.

Well I dunno how they handle stuff, maybe they aren't allowed to ship orders before a certain date? Which I think they should.

I'm not really mad about the date, is more of a collective of things frustrating me to no end.
  • Sending a email with no response from either company
  • Ordering a expensive product exclusive to a out of region store and having to pay shipping
  • Late shipping date
Is more of the whole situation.

Reasons why I import games is different achievement sets.
Other then that.. why would I?

Also, weeb ;')
