MINIBLOG: ALICE COOPER LIVE @ STOCKHOLM

So yesterday, I got up to breakfast, and I hear my parents talking about Alice Cooper, and how he was going to paly a show the very same day. I first show some interest, and eventually, my mom gets a great idea: in the same way she saw Alice Cooper when she was young, she suggested I should go watch him. So I got half the ticket payed for myself, and made my way there. I rounded up about ten friends to go, and we got there around 5 PM, even though the show didn't start until eight thirty.

So at the actual show, I had a blast. My only beef was the crowd: they were the worst crowd I have ever attended to in my life, and I've gone to quite a few concerts by now. At the end of a show, I got elbowed in the belly by 3 girls who thought I was too "into it". Sorry for having a rocker spirit? I wasn't even close to them, and they still had the nerve to be a party-pooper. During "Poison" and "School's Out", me and my metalhead friend managed to rail the crowd into a short burst of a mosh pit. But the audience, being typical Stockholmers, said "NO! You can't make a mosh pit!". No mosh pit to classic 80's rock?! PA-EFFING-LEAASE! The stars of the audience were the hardcore older fans, who made us pull through.

About a fourth into the show, one of the guitarists threw out a pick. I got lucky enough to catch the small pick, and I have a few pics of it:

Other than that, I had a blast yesterday.

Take care,

Mad jello that you got to see Alice, and got a pick.

I'm going to see Night Ranger, Foreigner, and Journey in August. They're not really my favorite type of music, but I appreciate most 80s music anyway.

Also, screw lame crowds.

And, lol@moshing to Alice. At least you tried man.

Yeah. It's only Stockholmers who are like this too, all other Swedes are the bees knees at concerts. Then again, we WERE at an amusement park (aka a mostly casual audience), but the point stands.

The saddest part was that the casuals were hogging up the front, and elbowing back us hardcore SOB's. They were covering their ears and very visibly not into the music. At the end, I let myself go and told them off over it... Wasn't worth it imo :/
