What's the WORST starter Pokemon EVER!!

off all the starters which is the worst for its base game and why?

i think it was PIPLUP

reason being:
CHIMCHAR
MONFERNO
INFERNAPE
PONYTA
RAPIDASH

there the only fire pokemon on D/P
also Rock and Ground can be easily beaten by grass, and fighting (Torterra and Infernape respectively)

what do you's think?

I don't know, I like them all... Well I gotta say that I don't like the 5th gen water type, it looks like a Piplup...
And the reason that Piplup sucks for you is that it can only beat up 5 pokemon? Thats the point, the starters are like a game of rock-paper-scissors. Paper doesn't suck because its weaker than scissors or that it can only beat up rock.

Bulbasaur was epic
Destroyed Brock easily
Destroyed Misty
Lt Surge's electric attacks not very effective
Erika's Grass attacks not very effective

I don't know what you're talking about.

With Empoleon's great move pool mine was kicking ass for the entire game through the Meta.
piplup?? wat O.o..... empoleon with water/steel type got much resistences
He meant that Piplup itself sucks, not Empoleon.
I hope so.

torchic: the other starters were treecko (-> grovyle) and mudkip (-> swampert), which were a LOOOOOT cooler. Blaziken was pretty good though, if you got it set up.

tepig: a fire pig... it was lame. Not as cool as the others in its generation. Especially at the final stage it just looks silly to me.

chicorita: meganium was lame and was outclassed by venusaur in almost every area

yea... those 3 are my least favorite starters. Of course, I am guided more by appeal than by raw stats. From what I hear tepig becomes uber powerful.

First gym: rock
Second gym: water

God damn it.
it was the "hard mode" while bulbasaur made your start a lot easier.. It's not that it sucks, you had to catch other pokes to defeat the Gyms. In G/S/C the fire type was the easiest, since you get the Bellsprout Tower and the Bug Gym.

I'm pretty sure Misty is the only reason Pikachu can be found in the Viridian Forest.

still talking about the starters, who here also thinks it fire/fighter is enough.... i mean... since generation III, all fire starters become a fire/fight..... damm isnt enough already???.... i think due the style and look of oshawott family... water/fight is no more the fair

i liked all the starters. but if i had to choose my least fav starter was the 3rd gen grass starter.

chicorita- It just flat out sucked its stats sucked...and I ended up abandoning it for a tentacruel no seriously I had a legit lv 91 tentacruel that I used because my started sucked so badly

Tepig- Another Fire/Fighting I mean come on.....I'm tired of being screwed by ground moves and flying moves, and water moves, and physic moves....(seriously like every pokemon learns at least one of those types)

AND THE FIRST GYM WAS BROCK >:(

Till date the worst starter, with its evolve forms counted, would have to be Chikorita. It was weaker then all the other grass starters and didn't really have that good of a move pool.

Piplup was bad looking, but moves and stats were quite good, and Empoleon cleared the game with no problem. I would agree that it's not as useful as the other two starters of that gen in a wifi battle, but it was most definitely not the worst.

Chikorita - the only generation in which grass gave you the worst possible start, no secondary typing acquired during evolution, ugly as heck and nothing to adequately set it apart as a good poké. Still, I stuck with it on my initial Gold playthrough, sticking with grass-type starters until after Diamond, at which point I started picking based on Awesomeness instead of counter-picking Brock and Misty. Which made me pick Totodile in HeartGold.
