What's the WORST starter Pokemon EVER!!

off all the starters which is the worst for its base game and why?

i think it was PIPLUP

reason being:
CHIMCHAR
MONFERNO
INFERNAPE
PONYTA
RAPIDASH

there the only fire pokemon on D/P
also Rock and Ground can be easily beaten by grass, and fighting (Torterra and Infernape respectively)

what do you's think?

Bulbasaur.

It's just a bad Pokemon and it looks dumb. At least the other Grass starters were good. Chikorita evolved into a respectable tank, Trekko was fast, Turtwig got a decent second type (Ground), and Smugleaf (that's what it's called) is fast like Trekko. Bulbasaur is just a dumb looking, useless Pokemon.

EDIT: You can also consider Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow I guess. I mean even with the Light Ball its stats were still average compared to other starters. Plus if you thought starting with Chikorita against a Flying type gym was ground, try Pikachu in a Rock (with all Pokemon being Ground or Rock/Ground) gym. Of course the game didn't supply you with a Grass or Water type early on so you had to rely on anything that learned fighting type moves.

Pikachu was the worst. He would never evolve and all he could do special was that damned surfing minigame. >:(

The worst? Easily all 3 of the Hoenn starters. They all look ugly as fuck and are just shitty pokemon.

My favorites? I have to say:

1) Totodile (YESSHHHHH)
2) Cyndaquil
3) Oshawott

I like Oshawott cause Samurott looks like a freaking beast. :P

Agreed. I don't understand all the Chiko hate. I LOVED all the GSC starters.

Well not the worst, but my least favorite starters are Snivy (Tsutarja) and Tepig (Pokabu). I just hate their character designs and English names. And their evolutions...:(.

My favorite starters are Bulbasaur (he's my favorite pokemon, has been since I first started playing Pokemon all those years ago and don't know why), Pikachu (second favorite pokemon, though not due to the show which came after the game), Charman...actually, all of the First Generation starters.

But the starters from Isshu (I refuse to call it Unova) and Sinnoh are all ugly as fuck, torchic is derp and Treecko is meh.

Then they're all from OK up.
Cyndaquil is the best starter imo. Followed by Totodile.

wait wait wait did you just say all 3 3rd generation were the worst
say what you want about mud kip
but treecko and torchic were awesome

Swampert is hands down the 2nd if not joint 1st best water type after/with Feraligatr. He had an AMAZING attack pool, good att and def, and water/ground type combo was quite good.

Blaziken is the fastest stater with Infernape right after. If well trained/breeded, was quite a beast. (even though i never lived his look muich).

All of them except Charmander and Totodile.
For pokemon diamond/platinum/HG/White I just gave myself a very low level female Raltz.
Raltz ftw.

Never been a fan of any starters. Totodile and Charmander are the only two legit starters I actually like.

I never liked Chickorita. It was horribly weak and puny. As mentioned Bulbasuar totally overpasses it in every way. That is pretty much all I hate. The other starters are decent and good as well as their last stages. Meganium.... not so much. Only good thing about it is that its good on Sunny Day teams and Baton Pass/Reflect/Light Screen teams. Venasuar can do that and more though.

Charmander is cool but near impossible to start with. I suppose you could catch a Caterpie and get it to Butterfree AND know Absorb before the first 2 gyms but, c'mon.

Worst looking starter is Oshawott but its 2 evolutions get pretty cool.

I would still pick Charmander though. I caught a Mankey and trained it to level 15 and then battled the gym. It depends on how much of a pace you wanna go with. If you like challenges then pick whatever starter you really want which ends up being the cool looking one (Charizard ftw) and catch and train other pokemon. It is a pain in the ass though.

This is pokemon.
Diamond was the first pokemon game where I didn't exclusively use my starter and take it to beat the elite 4.
Diamond I actually needed to use my starter+Gardevoir...rofl.
Pokemon is easy offline.
