How to tell your parents..

..You make and narrate Youtube videos?

I seriously need help with this. Youtube told me that I can potentially become a partner, and now I need an Adsense and billing address. Plus, it'd make narrating my videos so much easier.
So if you guys have any suggestions?

Have a good think about why you want to do it and then structure the arguements in your mind.

Then just tell them to truth.

If you're truly a Youtuber, you've shown enough signs for it not to be a surprise.

I doubt they'd really care. Just tell them.
What's your Youtube account?

Well I would start slowly with something like '' You know how I'm never bringing girls home.....'' wait a narrator.. sorry wrong talk

Why would your parents care ??

You do know you can get a bank card at like the age of 14 right?

@Nathan

You can, you just have to be a joint account owner, even though I set up my own bank at 15 with my own debit card? Natwest rules

I'm pretty sure everyone here thought you were going to tell your parents that you are gay..

Nothing to see here folks!

Funny enough, I figured you'd say that. (Well, I thought you were going to say pregnant o-o)
But anyways, any like sample dialogs or ideas D:

What combat arms region do you play in? and do you play maplestory global?

Don't tell them unless you want to tell them

whilst youtube says you may have the "potential" to become a partner, most of your videos don't look like they're getting the number of views youtube would want them to get in order for the deal to be mutually beneficial (plus you'd be making pennies at best), so don't bet on actually becoming one (unless they've changed their policy recently and will hand them out to anybody)

NA, and used to play GMS.

@Law
Well, if I told them, it'd be way easier for me to get videos out and uploaded. And then, I'd have a better shot at becoming a partner ;S.

Nothings better than arguments with rock solid evidence. Show them your YouTube channel and how much its helped you. Show them how much of your actual information shown and how you can't even build a basic profile with it so no privacy content problem there. Then show them the email from YouTube and how they'd like to make you an affiliate. Explain to them how it'll benefit Youtube and you. Lots of explaining but it'll get the job done.

Ah, I remember the first time I opened up to my parents about making Youtube videos...
It was really hard, because they just didn't seem to understand- Just because it's different to them, they got all scared.
After a while, and showing them that it's what I do, meanwhile showing them that it's completely harmless, they finally came around. I can't talk too openly about it with them just yet, but, we've made lots of progress.

So I think you should just show them how safe it is, and how it's just a few details that are secure with Youtube to make what you do easier. I'm sure they'll come around after a while.
