Why i refuse to buy (ultra) moon / sun

1. It is Literally a Remake of last year except these lazy bums just put (ultra) glitter on it. and even their previous remakes were a billion times more better example (heartgold,soulsilver)
2.z-moves are boring barely use them and they add no real content to the game its literally just an extra move for that Pokemon
3.this is a DLC of sun and moon

At this point in my own opinion Nintendo has stopped making these games for the original fans of the franchise and is just targeting children that haven't developed yet, all for the sake of money. yet this franchise has so much potential but they refuse to give the fans what they want.

well yea if you havent played the last one still surprised they dont let you walk with your pokemon like in hg,ss still one of the best pokemon games imo hopefully that pokemon star game on the switch would be worth it

It's interesting people complain USUM should have been DLC. The mentality of players has definitely shifted. I mean, Pokemon Emerald, Platinum, they all were just their respective regions with glitter. Yet they thrived.

My issue with the new games is that two versions are being released. It's wrong for this kind of game, and after doing such a good job of story continuation with BW2, they're setting unrealistic expectations for many fans. It's also a crime they let the name Pokémon Eclipse go to waste.

Pokemon wasn't that hard in the first place and they are making it more easier with each game and you also can't skip how to catch a pokemon in like old games for fucks sake

we are in a day now where games Have patches the last 3rd version we got was on the ds that did not have game patches.

i'm gonna buy it, i skipped sun/moon (no i didn't even pirate them) and yes i'm gonna buy Ultra Moon :), i refused to get the leaked version.

You don't really have to buy it if you don't care about the story all the new pokemon are ubs or mythicals and theres 4 new forms.

I felt this way about all games since x/y.... that's why I stopped playing pokemon
each gen adds not much content (ever since the 3rd or 4th imo) and becomes more and more (stupid) kids friendly... the game treats you like an idiot nowadays! seriously, gamefreak, grow up...
an rpg game with a premise of collecting all the different troops has a lot of potential...

While I don't know if I disagree with any of your points I am going to disagree with more of your reasoning.

Tell me why mechanically, or indeed electrically*, the games needed two or three basically different versions of the same game? Blatant and shameless money grabbing got you that. I would call it the baseline for the sorts of things we see today but it was not, that was arcades and this was just something of an evolutionary dead end of it.

*at the time you could justify the Sonic 2, 3 and knuckles stuff.

Given I have yet to see it break out of the four moves, 6 mons, my first RPG mould when an AR pokemon go style MMO would be insane, a baseline MMO would likely have made them all the money and able to be done for them with their hardware at least on the wii and ds.

1 not a remake, it's a " 3rd version", that enerally is better than the first but don't count as cannon at all õ3o (at elast for the remakes lol)

2 know what happens when western want to put their finger on something other country was used to do? they want to make it more kids appealing from the "roots", so they come with a lot of " kids" anime elements .. even pre-planned products like the Zring "accessory" , something totally unneeded for pokemon that has a HUGE potential from "products based on game item" that they never explored nicely xp

3 I think I can't deny that at all xD

but this is a good point, when pokemon started to be to be launched worldwide once, with western production being made together with the game, not just "translating" the game, a lot of point to make it appeal more for kids started to come... remember how BW games as pokemon the origin specials where so much of a shounen?I don't think they wanted to follow by something more childish after that, but sudden come XY with international production it started with stuff like.. pikachu voice acted instead of his original sound... why? the main reference for western kids of pokemon is the anime first, them the game, some until today(or at least until XY XD) still ask why pikachu don't had the voice acting ingame instead of hs original sound since yellow :P

At the end of the day, it all depends on the end-user and how he/she will feel about this new release coming out on the 3ds consoles. In my opinion, I say this game have alot to offer (Also, because i played the leak version of it). Nothing here is to be bothered about. The climax and the post-game makes it way better than previous releases.

$40 dollars for an update, and a it's considered a game? At least ORAS added some interesting features.

@dAVID_ What did it add that's not interesting? At least the wormholes are cooler post game than mindlessly flying to an island that's only available on a Thursday afternoon.......

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
