I know this isn't really safe but I put a better fan in my 360 power brick and here are some photos! hey thanks for looking!
DarkGabbz Jul 20, 2017 You should have gotten a smaller fan + cut a hole for it and screw or glue it in place. Reactions: 1 person
Tizm Jul 20, 2017 @DarkGabbz it was an old fan i bought an adapter on ebay that lets me use old fat psu's with it.
DarkGabbz Jul 20, 2017 This is a 80mm fan (just for comparison) which can fit with heavy mods. Reactions: 1 person
DarkGabbz Jul 20, 2017 I only put that spare fan on a not modded psu for size comparison. Reactions: 1 person
DarkGabbz Jul 20, 2017 Get a plastic editing tool like a Dremel with a small cutting disc make a cutout for the fan but make it a bit smaller than the fan so that you can use the screwholes of the fan. Reactions: 1 person

Tizm Jul 20, 2017 I can't find and Dremel, would drilling a bunch of holes in the plastic to make the right cut out work?

DarkGabbz Jul 20, 2017 Making the holes would be useless because you haven't got any fitting screws + rotary tool. (https://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-RTX-B-3-Speed-Rotary/dp/B000MUSLCC i heard this one should be good enough but get a secondary cutting disc) Reactions: 1 person

DinohScene Jul 20, 2017 Why are you people mutilating adapters!? Small replacement fan would've done the job just as well. Also for anyone foolish enough to try it. PSU's contain DANGEROUSLY high amperages. Touching the wrong component WILL kill you. Reactions: 2 people

Tizm Jul 21, 2017 @DarkGabbz I ended up buying a fat 360 power brick and took the fan from it and tossed it in the slim and now it works!
