Legend of Zelda Breath Of the Wild WORST ENDING! (SPOILERS)

I actually realized this partway through playing the first shrine quest. I also managed to get into the castle kind of to early becuase of a side quest and read some of the extra bits of the story and yeah the story is just pretty mediocre.

The only thing I really liked about the game was the open world since most games like skyrim, fallout and so fourth I can't play because they make the game content to drastic or the story. So atleast that's a plus with the game in my opinion. Its not overkill on story or such,

Until the champions DLC comes, it's difficult to tell how any of the story will be like. Right now in its current state I think the in game story is supposed to have a focus more on the past and not really the present, for example how the group of characters prepared for the tragedy that they thought was under control but somehow Ganon came back from existence. And I guess it can tie into other games to but again, difficult to tell in its current state and little references to other games in the sequel.

The game is called Legend of Zelda, is supposed to tell a story.... (A good one) and the game ends with the boring ending of no celebration, no reward and no story worth staying for. Wish this was cartoon legend of zelda, then he be trying to get a kiss by now ending with a funny "EXCUSE ME PRINCESS"

I'm not saying he has to get anything but, I saved a country that includes.... 4 other countries.... of gerudo women, zora fish, ruto birds and goron... rocks, and your own castle. Couldn't have least celebrate now that hyrule is peace again? O_O

I still think Majora's Mask ending was worse at least the Link side of things

I think Link's Awakening was the worst, but even this Breath of the wild was on same tier as the first 2 zelda games on NES.

I'll say let's wait and see what happens with DLC pack 2, we know (Or at least we can asume) it takes place after the ending so it might add some stuff to the ending making it better. And i'm pretty sure Breath of the Wild having an ending similar to Zelda 1 was done on purpuse. Another thing that Zelda fans ruined about Breath of the Wild.

You didnt collect all the memories did you? It implies that the story isnt over. Btw, true heroes don't expect expect anything in return.

I think you're better off sticking to the YS series instead of LoZ, it actually has a good story Adol > Link.

Well to be honest, I'm pretty sure just by playing this game alone (Without any discussion from devs) the game was intentionally meant to be based on the first 2 NES games. Zelda 1 was open world exploration with very limited clues and cryptic messages that only a subscriber to nintendo power could find unless they spent hours playing every day. Reminds me of phantasy star 2, too long, tedious and difficult.

Zelda 2 being a 2D platformer with RPG style gameplay (Kinda like castlevania 2 simon's quest) was the first game to introduce platforming, so link jumping was thing and less puzzles to solve. So you spent more time trying to find where to go without a map, having hidden walk through walls and needing specific spells to travel further made it even more difficult.

Breath of the wild is the second game to introduce a jump button (not including gameboy zelda with the roc's feather) is open world from zelda 1 and.... slight platforming and rpg style from zelda 2 made it seem more like trying to mash two concepts that did leave a mark in the series history and improve on it.

I think when they made this zelda game, they forgot that if you don't have a story you have to follow the 90's aspect of playing as a blitzkrieg warrior like in DOOM, Quake, and other titles

If they made the game like that I would give it a 100/10 IGN.

Game would still be teen because no gore just ragdolls and weapons only stuff like sticks. So its okay.


Jokes aside though, I don't think this game has an emphasis on the first LOZ game (well it did but its story probably wasn't a factor). There's way to much ancient technology used in the game and this is the first time"ancient tech" was used in one of the games. So... Why did all the other games not have this :/. Unless this ties into Occariana of Time somehow

if you kill gannon on your save at least once and have the star on your current save you get from killing him you can check the bottom right of the quests and memories menu to see a what you have out of how many there are fraction to see

also, did impa give you the quest for the one memorie from the image on the wall

By your statement implied it was more than 17 that should been unlocked somehow.

@lcie nimbus I need to play ys, yes. I need to start from the beginning before YS 8 is out, but not sure which order and which games to start with. But anyway, I know about ys already, i have it on my vita.
