Thanks Friday

Lets start off on a good note, happy belated Thanks Giving if you celebrate it and if you was in the sales, I hope this finds you in good health. So this month unfortunately found me out of work not so long after getting the job, I was told it would only be a couple of weeks but here we are now a month later and still waiting for the call like a dope. I have been lucky enough to get my old part time job back so it will pay the way for the meanwhile.

With my free time I decided to take up a movie, Spectre. I found the movie to be a pretty average affair, it was always going to be hard to follow up on Skyfall but this one seems to miss most the marks, even the "twist" comes out like a wet fart. Still, it was entertaining enough, did feel like it went on half hour too long though.

So gaming, that's what we all like right? lets talk about it then. I beat Mario and Luigi - Dream Team and for the 50 hours I put into it, i found it a fun ride, has a great fun script, fun combat and generally fun, I know I should try Partners In Time again soon but lets say playing this got me pretty hyped for Paper Jam. Others I have finished this month includes Kings Quest Chapter 1 : A Knight To Remember and Her Story. Kings Quest I bought because of a price cock up on NewEgg which brought down a season pass from 40 or so dollars down to 8.50, I wasn't certain what to expect going in but after just this one chapter this maybe one of my games of the year. The game is easy to get into, the story is well told, has many throwbacks to the original games and probably should be the kind of games TellTale should have evolved into making. It dawns on me that a lot of the choices in the game about how the story will turn out tend to be more gameplay based than purely picking a dialog choice. As for Her Story, I got it for 3 bucks on Steam and it is worth about it, lol. I found the game to be a great experience, I went in blind and as it dawns upon you what happens in the game you kind of feel really attached to it. I got to a conclusion after about an hour or 2 but the experience alone as I said was worth 3 bucks, it is the kind of experience only a game can give you compared to any other entertainment format.

So ready for the retro junk I bought this month? Found a Sega Genesis along with Golden Axe, Forza on the original Xbox, Final Fantasy IV Complete for the PSP, Chrono Trigger on the NDS and The World Ends With You. The first two I happened to find in a Goodwill, the other four i managed to get at the black Friday sale on Square Enix's website, I was pretty gutted because they had some Dragon Quest games on sale too along with Final Fantasy XI but the first was sold out and the second I only found later after making an order.

Right, to the Amiibo nonsense which should see me through for the year, managed to secure, Mewtwo, all the Animal Crossing ones, and a Mega Yarn Yoshi. I decided to order the Modern Colours Retro Mario because I couldn't be arsed to deal with Walmart basically on Black Friday.

What is there left to comment on then? Nintendo Direct feels good to, I thought it was a great show after a long break, I look forward to seeing Twilight Princess HD and Star Fox Zero looked so much better than its e3 outing. The Cloud reveal for Smash was literally the last thing I expected to get announced and more to be revealed come December? yeah, I see it going one of two ways, either Nintendo will have nothing to show off cool, probably something like a Paper Mario character, or they will drop some huge bombs like Banjo of Banjo Kazooie fame.

Still, I am done talking for now, Christmas time is coming so I gotta get ready for arguments and fun things, love and bananas
