I may be ready to be coding games soon!

I'm in the near finish of my C++ tutorial I've been using quite a bit! 103 of 144 pages according to Foxit Reader. This will hopefully mean that i'll be doing a lot more homebrews for video game handhelds and maybe some demos for the PC or something like that! I will be sharing most of my homebrews on GBAtemp. Also, just a quick note, "The Shoyru GBAtemp Blog" is not my official blog, you can find it here: This is my official blog. @FIX94 Allowed me to link to my official blog.

Keep an eye on the Ludum Dare. They're doing another competition sometime in the next few months, and every October they do the October Challenge which is "Finish a game, put it up for sale, earn $1."

Hmm.... I like the idea of a "competition" to enter my games into. Except, I like to release my content for free. Stuff like maybe for the next GBAtemp Homebrew Bounty or something like that!

You'll definitely be a pro of programming, now.

Thanks! Get ready for my definitely upcoming release of Awoken Clouds! It'll be pretty awesome!

Mind you, you'll need a little bit more than just general C++ knowledge to program on a desired platform - don't forget about platform-specific functions!

That said, it sounds like you have a solid foundation to build on, good luck! :)

For me, C++ is like the beginning, after learning Java, Python and a few other languages, i'll be giving myself the challenge to learn ASM (And all versions of it) and try to create games using that! I will have to keep in mind that i'll need a separate hard disk for me to store everything I work on onto. And from the demoscene documentaries I watched, it looks like if I want to work for a demoscene group, i'll have to learn ASM!

EDIT: If ever I come across an error or glitch or something in programming, if it's okay with you, i'll ask you to help me! At least this time, I do feel a little more confident with debugger errors.

ANOTHER EDIT: I mainly wanted to learn C++ because most platforms that the DevKitPro SDK uses rely on C++

I'm basically talking about releasing my games without getting money from it in the end. I also do like it when they are free to enter. Plus, if my games do get released for a few dollars, i'll later release them on the internet for free!
