So, I have achieved 1,000 posts on temp.

All of the hours of my limited mortal life I have given to this website...what can I say but

I think 1,000 posts is like karma +9001. Dad made me pizza for dinner, stopped being mad at me (for what I posted earler) and wants to get me a puppy. It has to be shorthair and medium size.

Any suggestions?

as for the dog personuser give us a general idea of the type you'd like

How about a lab? They're pretty friendly, short haired and medium-sized.

Hmm, well, as I said, it has to be short-haired and medium sized (About the size of an english springer).

I want a dog that's really friendly with people.

It should be a healthy, fit breed (one of the reasons he wants to get it is so we'll take it for walks)

It should be playful and happy.

English springers are longhair, so even though they match all the other things I want, they're out.

Dad wouldn't mind a lab but it needs to be a slightly smaller breed (many labs are large). Still really looking at all breeds, though.

Get a labrador. It satisfies all of your above specified conditions.
