I just received my XS-1 "NB-BlackSilentFan", as well as a fan mount from Laser Bear.
I've watched a couple videos on YouTube on installing the fan. As well as a couple for installing LED's in the GC. I have yet to find someone who shows me how to add a UV-LED that could light up the UV reactive fan. I think I got a basic grasp of the procedure, but I'm asking for input before jumping into a project.
I'm guessing that no matter what, I have to solder the LED to the motherboard/databoard located with the controller ports. In other words I'll have to get a pre-wired UV-LED (or wire one myself) before installing. Are there any recommended suppliers of compatible UV-LED's? Preferably one that is pre-wired with a long enough wire to reach over to the fan.
Does anyone here have a GC modded like this, or possibly got pics of the insides? I'd like to know how/where one should mount the LED itself for best effect.
