Predicting weather more than 4 days ahead even with supercomputers is difficult in the extreme.

Historical weather patterns are available.

Equally snow comes in about 4 varieties in the UK, at least where anybody lives (most people living in places where the weather is consistently a bit nicer)

1) Technically snow. Usually only of concern for bookmakers betting on whether it is going to be a white Christmas -- there was one some years ago now where because a flake or two fell on some tile somewhere in London that it counted despite it otherwise being tshirt weather elsewhere.

2) Snow that does not settle. Mostly just makes the ground wet. This is probably the most common.

3) Settles on the ground but not much. Some grass and shady bits then maybe having enough to make into a snowball or more likely slush ball.

4) Ankle deep or beyond, here things then end up more fun as it becomes sheets of ice on the ground. Things grind to a halt, news gets filled with stories of gritting depots and... yeah. It is marginally better in Scotland than it might be in the southern parts of England where it is rather less common but not by a lot. The last few years these tend to be more in February-April time.

If you are coming from Australia where it is considerably hotter year round (even Tasmania is hotter) then depending upon how long you have to acclimatise then make sure your rain coat (snow might be a fairly low chance event but serious rain is a certainty in November) is big enough to fit a thick top or is itself one to trap a bit of heat (not my preferred style but some are available, especially in Australia). Select footwear similarly as well, though I generally prefer thick socks to winterised boots and you probably can get away with a decent set of trainers/skate shoes.
