It most likely can be done, but not without any modding to the console/remote, as i said, Sony arn't that dumb. Just get a USB/Wireless mouse

Lol don't you guys know you can use the wiimote in windows and on ps3 xmb the thing about ps3 linux tho is that it is ppc linux and I highly doubt there are ppc wiimote drivers but maybe you can connect through the bluetooth in the ppc linux if you could figure out how to configure it.
