It's happening guys :O

Holy mother of crap, DK64 it's actually running well, aswell the other games, without glitchy and horrable textures and frames, and this is a beta, i can't imagine when the full thing is released.

I hope that this improvement makes Conker Bad Fur Day run at 100%, aswell other games like Banjo Tooie and Jet Force Gemini, this is the first time i'm actually excited for something, this is awesome, considering that most emulators for the PC are hard to use, and consumes the machine like if it was Fallout 4, then, this emulator will save all the problems.

It's nice to see emukidid still working on his homebrew :)

even if that video is two years old, he posted it now so maybe it means something. Or at least he still care about wii64 project.
I still hope to see a new wiisx release.

I ended up fixing Conker for them, and that was back in February of this year, 2 years after this video was made.
Great! but if you referring to Not64, CBF still needed to be optimized....
I truly cannot wait for a proper N64 emu on Wii or WiiU.
Make Goemon 2 work, Castlevania, all RARE games, and Pokemon stadium!

OHHHH YEAH! WiiSX!
I just bought castlevania Sotn on Xbox Live Arcade.
I would love to play more PSX games from the comfort of my trusty Wii!

Am I the only one who doesn't find that reassuring? It's great to see him working on it, but...part of me is worried.
...yes me...
It's a bit contradicting......:ohnoes::shit:

So I don't know how to interpret that, sounds like he's gonna release one more version then abandon the project. Damn. No WiiSX from the looks of it. Maybe N64 and PSX emulation on the Wii is a lost cause, IDK.

Wow! That's pretty impressive! Lovely great job! I hope it'll be out soon. Hands up!

Btw, I'm not saying that the emulator is bad, but somehow the GUI feels a bit tad and outdated, is there any chance of changing that? Something like the GUI's of other loaders looks quite nice with Cover/Screenshot support.

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

    Some temporary storage

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
