I'm using version 0.8 of de_fuse. Is minute not supposed to be outputting to my monitor?
Post automatically merged:

I tested for continuity between the Pico and the test points and they all checked out ok.

it should both output to the monitor and the terminal. But the prshax stuff runs so early that it might not output to the monitor, also we need the terminal later when we want to see live syslog, when iosu is running.

Not sure if it matters, but I see this before I get to the minute menu

And this is what I see for a split second before the minute menu pops up

That via is all that is accessible. I would recommend taping the wires to the board, so you don't accidentally rip stuff.

Maybe you can solder to that via on the top side of the board, if that makes things easier for you

OK nice, now you should be all set up when the NAND-AID arrives. The log looks exactly how we would expect it and we can even see how it crashes on the MLC.

From the scfm crashing on the flushCache, I guess your eMMC went read only.

Did you already dump the MLC using minute?

Awesome, thank you very much. There's a thunderstorm tonight and I'm worried my power will drop so I will start the dump tomorrow.
EDIT: Plugged Wii U into UPS so I will start the dump tonight.

@Lazr1026 In your guide it says to make an image of the 3rd partition using Win32DiskImager. How do I select specifically that partition? I think right now it's making an image of the whole SD card

Yeah Win32DiskImager can't do that, it can only do the whole device. I guess you either have to do the whole device or find a windows tool that can. I am using linux and there it is trivial with dd. On Windows things are more complicated.

Yeah I was having a hard time finding an equivalent tool for Windows. There is a DD for Windows utility but I have no idea how to use it unfortunately. The only extra SD card I have that could fit the MLC backup is a 200GB card, so now I have a huge disk image taking up space. Is there a tool that will let me split the disk image, or am I better off trying to find a tool that will let me clone that specific partition?

Have a look here: http://www.chrysocome.net/dd
For if (input file) you would specify the partition and for of (output file) the file you want to write to. Also I recommend a bs=1M

Also Backup the other small partition, which has the SLC, so you have both marching

Yeah that's what I was looking at yesterday. How do I determine the name of the partition? I know in Linux it's something like \dev\sdc or something. I tried using diskpart in Windows to see if it will give me a name to work with but it's either not possible through diskpart or I'm completely missing something.

I see there's a command in DD to list disk volumes in Windows. I'll check this out again when I'm home later today.
