Just making sure, the release of the kernel exploit will be announced in this thread right?
Yes, I will parade around with large banners on this thread and every other one once it is working/finished/released

I'm holding you to that.
He's using it as a form of reference, it's not him attempting to gloat or anything.
It's shorter than writing "on that bug which was posted earlier by me?" since he has only posted one 'bug'. It's simpler for everybody if he labels it as such.
No confusing references in between, just solid information.
Please let us just not argue semantics, and keep the discussion civil.
Will the kernel exploit need to be changed to work on 5.3.2? (I know obviously the webkit exploit for it is still a work in progress & is yet to be confirmed as working)
more accurate terminology isI believe the phrase "pics or it didn't happen" applies here
Also, the reason it hasn't been confirmed to be exploitable is because we're so close to getting the kernel exploit working that we've been focusing solely on that.
What are the major benefits to a kernel exploit anyways over userspace? The only 2 I know for certain are SD card access and different controllers in-game, but there have to be more specific elements that make the kernel exploit desirable (sd card access is a big one though, we would quickly run out of interesting homebrew if we couldn't load files).
And crwys, if you can't make posts that aren't attacks against me/ the_randomizer, please leave.
Full access to the Wii U's hardware . Of course lots of work will have to be done to use it to its full potential but its not going to happen with Userland exploits alone. Kernel access is needed for that
Full RAM access yes, playing online without updating no (an IOSU exploit would be needed)

Will system firmware spoofing be possible with kernel?
While I was proven wrong the last time I said no, I'm going to say no. I don't think FW modification is possible with kernel.
And on the topic of downgrading, has anyone looked into nintendo server spoofing with encrypted lower FW versions to downgrade?
