I thought that when you try to open a piece of software on the Wii U without the ticket it gave you the error about how the software cannot be used because the NNID used to purchase it was deleted.

Not really relevant. It's just throwing an error since the software can't be verified without a ticket.

It only says the NIND can't be seen because you only get a legitimate ticket via purchase. So if the ticket is wrong, malformed, missing, etc, it shows that error.

If you delete a user that has a NNID linked to it that was used to purchase software on the console, then you will lose the tickets for the software that was purchased on that NNID, unless that software was also purchased on another NNID on the same console.

So I always thought tickets were associated with the NNIDs used to purchase them.
