My Wii always gets warm when it's in standby mode. I'm wondering if it's normal or there's something wrong with my Wii?
The fan is always off in standby mode, it doesn't get that warm when normally on, only a little bit warm barely noticeable when I touch it (that could be because it's still warm from being in standby mode though)Im not sure as I never touch my Wii, but I doubt it
You can try checking the back of it where the fan is if theres a lot of accumulated dust. Or if you are a bit more skilled, open up the console and do a check.
It's when it's yellowIm not sure what you mean with standby mode. Is that when the power light is red? If so, then Id take it apart because thats really odd
Standby mode is useful for me because I use rechargeable batteries in my Wii Remotes and the USB ports are powered in standby mode
I already have 4 taken by all my consoles so I just rather charge it with my WiiI use rechargeable batteries too, I just charge them in an adapter that plugs into the wall. You could always use a USB power plug like the ones that come with mobile phones.
Disable it. WiiConnect24 doesn't work anymore anyway. My Wii always gets warm when it's in standby mode. I'm wondering if it's normal or there's something wrong with my Wii?

People have had permanent screen artifacts (black spots on screen) as a result of leaving the Wii in standby mode. No point in risking that when the WC24 features have been shut down for a long time now.
I have personally left WC24/standby connection on myself for years without any issues, and it seems like it's fairly uncommon for that to happen, but it does happen.
