Anybody who procrastinated on a system transfer all the way to now has nobody to blame but themselves. Not a single tear was shed that day.
Anybody who didn't, and diligently transferred to a New right away is now stuck on it, without eShop, and having to track down updates in .cia form on their own.

In fact those who didn't transfer are better off, as they can use 9.6 emuNAND with rxTools.

And how about those who reacted on time but were still waiting for their copies of OoT and CN to arrive in the mail? Are they to blame themselves as well?

Yet the Gateway Team hasn't even acknowledged that 9.6 exists. Not a single tear indeed.

Is it really that hard to "track down" cia updates? Really?

They are all in a nice little subforum and in most cases with nice cover art and all you have to do is click the shiny picture and off you go to the download site.

Sounds like a nice place.

Yes, they are, but you have to find the latest update for every title you want to update. Then, it must also be the right region. Not all of them are available. And often, once you find it, it turns out the links are down.

It's not that it's hard. It's just a lot more cumbersome than the few button presses it takes to update a game on the latest firmware.

Don't get me wrong, we all know things like this are to be expected with flashcarts. But GW is far from user-friendly. A little statement on their site about the 9.6 emuNAND issue wouldn't hurt.

GW are a bunch of useless ducks. KARL has done half their lifetime progress in a month. It's already clear they have no passion save for the money for their cheap plastic DRM
Two points:
1. KARL3DS doesn't have New 3DS 9.6.0 EmuNAND, either.
2. It could easily be months before anyone cracks New 3DS 9.6.0, because cracking it involves breaking into the boot ROM or at least so early in the boot process that it would be some sort of other hardware attack.

Well, can't you use it to access the eShop and download game patches at least?
You can already do that by installing CIA files, which are simple to use. Not many ppl will be willing to go through so much trouble just to buy one of the eshop's overpriced titles when you can simply but the retail game and dump it.

Yes, but if new patches come out before GW adds 9.6 support, how will people make cias to upload? Would rxTools help here?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
