Short answer- neither.

It appears as though the first one is some off brand device (indeed not so much as a model number/rebranded name or I might have been able to find something out about it- never a good sign), while this may be OK in many areas I would be very hesitant to do it in a projector (especially one this cheap) unless you already knew all about such things.

The second is only 800x600 which is fine for films although looking around that projector is little more than a toy. Were it half the price I might consider it for a throwaway/boot of the car job. http://www.hometheaterprojectorshop.com/pr...learco-hd-9000/ has a video.

Consider also that neither of those probably has nice features like keystone correction and image rotation- you will be moving the projector to change the image and not many people have a room/setup that they can do that for.

I think in general we are still about 2 years off from being able to do well for £200 (unless you dumpster dive one and fix it- http://www.amazon.co.uk/NEC-VT575-projecto.../dp/B0008ENBAY/ ). Far closer than we have ever been but still not there.
If you can stretch £50 to £100 more you can start getting good ones from good makes but for the sort of thing you want we are still up in the mid to high £300 range.

Thanks for the comment. I know they are not the best, I am only looking at about 100". I do want 1080p HD. Does anyone have any of these or have any good mid range projectors in mind?

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
