Hacking Which IOS do I need so I can turn on my Wii with the headest?

if i remember right its either 56 or 58 you need to update for the headset but you really should just take dop-mii 14.2 http://code.google.com/p/dop-mii/downloads...mp;can=2&q= and update each ios one by one cause you should always make sure your ios's are up to date.

Ok and this should not give me the error 32007 code for system updating? Right now I am on 4.3U WAN? And by using the headset I mean allowing my Wii to turn ON while my headset is plugged in, not having to take it out EVERY time I log off Black Ops. Will try Dop-Mii but am unsure how exactly I am supposed to update them without stubbing them. I have way too many stubs.

every system has stubs just do as i say and make sure the ios your installing using dop-mii is the latest one and update all your ios before updating to system menu 4.3U with dop-mii and you should be fine though from the look of things you need to re-run wanin cios installer after all this is done.

If you are sure that this is an issue with an IOS do what mauifrog and BBking83 have already tried to tell you to do. The Wii's System Menu runs off only one IOS. The number of that IOS depends on what your System Menu Version number is. Go see the IOS History List over at WiiBrew in order to determine what IOS number you need to re-install using Dop-Mii. You can also just update all your IOS to the most recent version, just don't install any stubs which will clearly be marked by Dop-Mii and you won't brick your Wii.

Smashdude, do yourself a favor and follow what both davidnlta and I have re-suggested for you to try. The only thing I would add is that you should re-install Herme's cIOS as well as Waninikoko's as both have been replaced by stubs.

Of course since you are already running SM 4.3 you can do the easiest thing and do everything you need to do just by running one app, you've heard it before, ModMii....Take the leap, and use it, it will both update your IOS and re-installer your cIOS. Just treat your Wii as a virgin 4.3 Wii and skip the steps you have done already - for example you don't have to re-install the HBC if you have it on your Wii already. Smashdude, you should be able to do this without being spoon-fed each step. Time to redeem yourself buddy.

Ok based on that link you gave above, Drave, am I supposed to update 56 and 80 only in order for the WIi to turn on with my headset plugged in and to update to 4.3U official? I don't want to update anything that will brick my Wii. I am still confused.

Virginizing my Wii would possibly brick it. I just want two QUICK steps. 1. update my Wii to 4.3 OFFICIAL, 2. get the WIi to turn on with my headset plugged in. That's it. So I am looking for what I need to upgrade to do both of these. Then I am officially done for now.

Smashdude, this is the last time I'm posting in this thread cause you don't listen, and are too timid to be in this hobby. Forget everything, I mean everything, including your initial problem. YOU NEED TO RUN MODMII AND GET YOUR WII IN ORDER FIRST. End of story, no new posts needed. I made a post earlier detailing the steps a person needs to take with ModMii in order to get their system safely up to snuff. I strongly suggest that you follow it as well.

i have no problems using my headset using ciosx20 base 57 with wiiflow 304 im also on 4.3U and all my system menu ios are up to date i suggest you update your ios.

Off topic, but how did you play Call of Duty 3 with a USB loader?

Dop-Mii won't get IOS249 to work properly.

You could install a clean IOS80...?

There is no other f'ing answer but you seem to not want to listen to the people that are helping you but yet you keep asking for help

you have a messed up ios and in order to fix it, it is best to start over and just to modmii and reinstall everything
you will not brick your wii as I have done it many times. when you install the wad files it just replaces the ios on the system so unless you feel like pulling your power cord out the f'ing wall you won't have an issue.

On a side note ios 80 is what systemmenu 4.3 uses

either listen to the people that are trying to help you or leave here
