I have to add my voice to those people who say they wouldn't even own one if it weren't hackable. There seem to be a lot of us in this thread, too, and I'd imagine it is a measurable percentage of the people who bought the Wii, which was the number one console in sales for December. Is it enough that it's the reason it's number one? Probably not, but it can't hurt.
It would be interesting to get some numbers around this. Does anyone have any idea what the installed base of the Homebrew channel actually is? How about the number of unique IP addresses that have downloaded, say, the #1 and #2 most popular USB backup launcher channels?
