Hardware What saves after a factory reset?

Hi! About 2 months ago I sold my Wii U after getting a bit bored with it and taking a bigger interest into the Ps4 and now the person I sold it to has contacted me saying he needs the parental pin but the thing is that I never once set one and I also did a factory reset on the system before I sold it, I made sure that it was indeed factory reset. Anyone know what to do in a situation like this? Sorry if this is the wrong section of the forum to ask.
