Hey guys, i'll try to keep this short and simple. Well here's the deal, a long time ago my friend got my psp 2000 flashed/hacked. Since then it sais in the system Software is on 5-00 m33-4. I asked him if i needed to update it in the future and he said it would be no problem, just do a normal update via online and it'll download the new "hack" version or whatever. Weeeell i just tried playing some games on mah psp which unfortunately didn't work. So i thought i would do the update thingie, but alas i got a "Connection to the server failed. A DNS error has occured and then lotsa numbers".
So I tried googling a little on the internet and found that there should be a 5.00 m33-6 version out by now. So here's my question. Is it as easy as just downloading the new update, and then just letting it update, or do i need this pandora battery thingie to make it work?
Sorry if i seem very ignorant and unknowing but i wasn't the one that did the hacking so i really have no clue, if it's easy enough to do by myself i'll do it, but any tips or advice is much apreciated.
