How many stories have you heard about COD or other games with voicechat where 12 year olds are screaming insults and obscenities? If you had a child would you really want to nurture and encourage that behavior? Or do you really think that won't bleed into being hostile to people in the real world? You won't be kids forever, and eventually (even if it's a while away) you will begin to have adult responsibilities and need to learn how to act as a responsible adult. Nintendo has elected to take on the role of a wise and caring parent, encouraging more polite behavior while restricting (and punishing, if required) bad behavior that would make other people upset (or - yes even that - infringes on their intellectual rights and property). Tri Force Heros is a perfect example of this. Having no voice or text chat is occasionally frustrating when playing against those who don't know what is going on (fortunately it's rare as everyone seems to play the single player campaign first), but the emotions are awesome at allowing you to vent your frustration in a positive way (repeatedly tapping the "Nooooooo!" button does wonders for releasing frustration, and almost inevitably leads to the cheerleader or thumbs up emotion). Miiverse is an extension of this. It is not a place for you to put down things that others are enjoying or to ask for naked pictures, but a place for people to share the fun they are having and to find help for difficulties they are encountering. There is no need to rip on games or promote hacking. Leave hacking to this website, where people who want or need it can find information without bothering those who don't want or need to know about it.
psst I don't think you grew "up" I really don't think you people understand the purpose of Miiverse. And by extension, I don't think you people understand how Nintendo works. Nintendo is not in the video game industry in order to make gobs of money catering to rich little shits, they are in the video game industry to make games they can enjoy with their kids and family. Nintendo works to create this image where everyone is happy and having fun, but they are smart enough to realize that won't happen on it's own.
