well i would like wii game emulation meaning you could launch any wii game you want (ex wii sports) on the wii u menu
so possibly a vwii injector? thats not a bad idea. Also maybe having some tool that can help with vwii bricks when you don't have a backup (or a good one)

When I said the whole vwii bricks fixer, or wiifixu? I'll just call it that, it can fix a vwii in complete broken state, like all files are missing broken state. possibly using wiiu mode to correct lost or corrupted, or non functioning nand, or restore the vwii to a vanilla state. I honestly would love to see that... because lets say my computer took a crap and I was experimenting with vwii nand. And I wanted to see what would happen if you deleted everything in vwii slccmpt. And the worst case sernerio happened. my computer crashed. and I lost my backup data. So vwii is a no go with me right now. but a vwii injector is definitly a good idea. because then we don't have use backup loaders like usbgx or what ever it is. Also maybe somesort of patcher for vwii homebrew. like for example ctgpr requires the mario kart wii disc. So in theory you could make a backup of mario kart wii inject it. then have it pretend its in vwii disc slot. Sounds impossible, but then again we have the 3ds doing the exact samething. with its nds boot loader. which loading games from a sd, but i imagine we could point it to the wiiu system memory. However I'm not the professional, and chances are what i just said is actually impossible. after all the 3ds and wiiu are two totally different systems

Currently both Dump Mii NAND and XYZZY don't provide information for either the NG Key ID and the NG Signature for vWii (On a regular Wii, these programs can access it fine). These keys are very important in order to access the Wii Shop on Dolphin.

I was wondering if someone would be able to make a program that can properly generate a bootMii keys.bin file. It seems like it could be done on the Wii U side if you can take advantage of an IOSU exploit to access the Wii keys in the OTP.

Edit: @FIX94, Would you be willing to create a program that does what I describe (I apologize if you don't like being tagged)?

Did anyone said Moonlight yet? Would be awesome to play PC games on the gamepad and/or on another room's TV.

They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

    +1
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I remember having to manually put in drivers and what not
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Yeah the 360 dongles sucked
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
