Greed is certainly a reason. 60€ for Wii games is too much. Luckily I don't pay that much at my local shop.QUOTE said:Edit: One reason we have to pay more than the US is that taxes are already included in our prices whereas they are added at purchase in the US and seem to be quite different from state to state. Another reason is that the localization costs are quite high with the many languages we speak over here. And the third reason is that NoE is greedy.
Yes but if I import Wii games and pay shipping (10$), taxes and customs for them (19% extra) they are still cheaper than here in germany (50$ versus 60€ (=79$)) wtf is up with that?
Is downloading copyrighted material in sweden still legal? Maybe nintendo have charged the swedes more because they know they'll download the games
Unfortunately, many countries around the world still did not accept PAL as their TV broadcast system, so import a NTSC Wii from the US or Japan is not very good idea.

it's not included in Japan, but everywhere elseThe price is due to the "moms" (VAT) that we have in Sweden, which is at 25%.
The VAT adds 25%, which makes the price $312.5 (if the price is $250 from the beginning) which is part of the deal. How they can add another $80 after that I simply fail to see.
25% is the highest VAT in europe, but other european countries have a VAT of 19%, and they still don't pay any more than 250€
QUOTEIs the "Wii Sports" included with consoles worldwide, or is that some Swedish bs?
