The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask lands on Nintendo Switch Online next week

The next addition to the Nintendo Switch Online classic games library will be the iconic Nintendo 64 game The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It'll be landing on the service next week, on February 25th, for all NSO + Expansion Pack subscribers.

As of right now, there are 11 N64 titles available on the service, with the most recent addition being Banjo-Kazooie. Other games such as Mario Golf, Pokemon Snap, and F-Zero X are expected to hit the Expansion Pack as well, given the fact they were previously teased in a trailer by Nintendo.

Yup, I'm good, with my IPS modded GBA, Super NT and N64 with Retrotink.
Screw NSO.

well...I guess I was right all along, outside of one post it's just rehashing the same bit of how the nso stuff is shit. so basically a discussion that's nearly as pointless as the service. so glad I don't have to actually go into these threads to see what the news is from the front page

You still ended up reading the thread anyways? It's not even much of a guess, why would the thread add more than the initial post. Seems to me you just wanted to complain from the start.

Eh. I haven't really cared about official Nintendo emulation as much sense Wii really, Wii U & 3DS to a lesser extent.

I'm just wondering if the performance is good, launch expansion pack seemed to be awful so I'm just wondering if it's improved or not.

Either way I don't care honestly, expancion pack is a bad value for 40 dollars (imo) and I'm more of a PJ64 guy personally.

Never played on the 3ds, but I believe I seen it as the worst version of the game, should of included the original at the same time. I think orcarina of time had two versions on 3ds can’t remember right now. I’ll still try this out on the switch since I have the expansion already.

Finally. Majoras Mask needs full overclock to run "good" (less stutter) within mupen64plus, and still, there are issues like dynamic resolution that triggers a crash (if not correctly configured on gliden64 core options) between the bombers notebook and the inventory.
So, this comercial release may or may not improve the non official experience.

The trailer was cool, and the promo art for this game is amazing, I also always loved the purple color scheme, since it's my favorite color!

It's just too bad this isn't going to include any of the 3DS enhancements, and going to be lazy as fuck emulation. Still, I'm not paying for it, so w/e. :P

God the drip-feed release pace is absolutely unbearable. Switch Online literally used to release 3 games a month with NES/SNES. Now we get one?
I mean.. The n64 library is a fraction of the SNES library. /s

I have an OG switch modded, but I kinda want to buy an OLED one just to play these old roms on. I could buy a Steam Deck or something but that would cost a fortune and it's too big and heavy.

Wow who gives a fuck, yup let's pay a stupid price to play old shit all over again.

Nintendo are a joke, they lie to its deluded fanboys that they "this time" will improve on "better third party support".

What that really means is the same shit as before, it wont get any of todays third party big AAA games, or if it does, its a piss poor diluted inferior version, but you still have to pay full price then add the fact nintendont are cheap cunts and if you intend on having more than one game, you have to splash out on a decent sd card.

Fanboys are excited and love nintendont because they believe they're getting better third party support, yet if they took their fanboy glasses off and woke their stupid heads up, they'd realise they're finally getting all these great titles from generations ago...... which back then the fanboys used to rant about not getting these games claiming they are dull, boring, its not about graphics, its about fun........

Yet on the cube they were on that better graphic bandwagon...... some were that deluded they even claimed the same when comparing wii u ports of old games vs the ps3/360 version...... no shit, its old port should look better on the beefed up last gen aka wii u.

And now the fanboys are in denial spouting ohh wow, well I get to play these games on the go....... yup I still fail to see anyone playing a switch on the bus/train/Park bench....... so thats a piss poor attempt of a defence.

And now we see yet again it lacking the third party support, no, we are not interested in paying a stupid price for a tablet to then rebuy the same old shit we already own and piss poor ports.

Even Nintendo can't be arsed to support its console, porting its same old shit, charging for dlc for its same old shit and the fanboys are like fuck me nintendont please shaft me of my money, I will blindly rebuy the same shit all over again.

You can clearly tell nintendont dont give a fuck, more bothered about finding its next victim to take to court, they laugh how its devoted fanboys rush to buy its next shit cheap console so they sit back laughing its printing money.

They cant even make its own consoles emulate, either take what nvidia did and like they didn't steal the idea off them anyway with the switch, but now they crap out this emulator that is pathetic and yet again its fanboys are like shut up, shaft me hard, I will blindly pay for this shit service, its soo innovative.

Blah blah, its pathetic when you find peeps sat at home during their spare time can do a better job at making emulators that run nintendont games far better than nintendont can themselves.

I cant wait to see nintendont repeat the same bs promise to its deluded fanboys as they announce its next inferior beefed up subpar last gen console to play again, all the great third party titles they lacked.

Likely will see again nintendont port its old shit, but this time as deluxe versions in full 4k hd and all its paid for dlc included.

But this, yea lets all get excited to play majoras mask in 4:3 and shit resolution when others can make it run far better for free.

So fuck off nintendont, if only you spent more time "innovating" and less time finding your next victim to take to court or send your legal dogs to slap a cease and desist order.
