So today I helped debug a bug on Atmosphere...

and I wanted to see if SXOS v1.7 fixed the thing I had issues with... apparently not. (I don't own SXOS, this was my first time with it, I only used it to check this bug)

GG Xecuter, you just shipped untested, broken and clearly stolen code.

Pretty sure that LayeredFS Kernel patches had to be implemented by TX themselves, so it isn't really stolen this time and I'm pretty sure that updating to fw6 wasn't super hard for them either - You can hate them but this time it's a fact that they did some own work

Really? Well that's just funny. I should be shaming myself then. (pirates some switch games with tinfoil)
But no. It's still bullshit that they stole code. They claimed it was their own work. And there is proof. If you want proof, go ahead. Use one of the reverse engineering scripts for sx os. And then try to see if you can find a match. (hint you will)
This isn't about pirating switch games. It's about shitting on developers who actually fucking work (team xeuctor is shitting on a community by claiming work that isn't their own)

Honestly it's fucking ironic that you support piracy yet when it comes to FOSS code, that's the line!

Look at you mr.moral man.
I bought sxos because there wasn't an alternative. They delivered before anyone else and they got my money. You can get sxos without the sigpatches or xci loader for free.

Also, have you yourself used those "scripts"?

Haters are gonna hate. They are just sad people, I feel bad for them it must suck to be sour like this everyday.

Pretty sure not, as there is already a kip for 6.0.0

I am on 6.0.0 and SX OS 1.7 does not boot. It blackscreens after selecting CFW.
I tried it on 5.1.0 before updating and did boot indeed.
OFW Horizon works fine.

And i don't get why you are defending them.

They just steal code and ideas from other developers and don't even try to hide it. And i mean even the concept: They want you to buy software to get free games. What the fuck? Easy to use isn't a valid point. R4S just works the same: Download the zip and put one folder on the dongle and the other on the sd card. That's it you can now use ReiNX and if you want to install NSP's you just go into the Homebrew Menu and install them. It's as easy to use as SXOS.

If you like SXOS use it and don't annoy others because they are against SXOS and avoid it.

oh an R45 is free is it? , oh wait someone else charging for piracy !.

still the SX pro has the best jig, dongle and OS, it doesn't bother me that they improved a program anf installed it in one OS, sure they should give credit if they have 'stolen' a program or even give the author some money.

if you dont have SXOS don't annoy SXOS owners becuase you are against it.

I was shaking as I was laughing so hard. Don't blame me.

this is a loader bug, not a lfs one.

So... Another proof that SXOS stole code from Atmosphere.

Yes I have actually. Use search commands, you'll find matches for large sections. Let me ask you, have you used them at all? Have you tried to look into the proof?
And yes there is a alternative.
How do you think sxos has nsp support? Cough cough, that came from the comminuty.
And COUGH COUGH that is implemented into a custom firmware. COUGH.
Xci's are pointless. They are the equivalence to the .3ds format. They eventually die out to the installable type. And there is a alternative, called: Reinx and Rajnx.
Now let's talk about my morals.
First off, I support piracy, but I usually try to make some effort to actually own it when possible.
But you know what crosses my line?
When you claim it's your own work.
Nobody who is giving these pirated files are claiming it's their own work, that they made this game.
But guess who does try to claim work that isn't their own? Team Xecutor. And I cannot stand that.

By making sure their SX OS is 'future-proof'
Is it really future proof if it requires the open source scene to do most/all of their work for the next firmware versions for them? I mean, they got the 6.0.0 files from the CDN, congrats, we've had access to those for a few days now too (Since Nintendo posted them on the CDN).

They're also going to have to release a 1.7.1 or 1.8 because they fucked up their "future proof" release, so good job TX.

Yup, since it's not booting. At least not for me. European Switch, updated with CDN files. OFW Horizon works fine.

True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

    ack my throat

    Oh tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gonna check out the new Garfield looks like garbage
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
