Am getting the parts ready for my GBA backlight mod. Just waiting for the ribbon to arrive. In the meantime I have taken the 101 screen out of an SP and also modified the housing of the replacement GBA case I ordered from China.
Anyhow, getting to the point in hand - I have removed both pieces of rectangular black tape on the back of the screen (damn they were sticky!) and my screen now has a layer of clear sticky material which wont peel off. Should I attempt to remove this by using some sort of cleaner or just leave it? I'm worried about the ribbon sticking to it while I am assembling.
Could any GBA modders out there let me know what they did regarding the back of the screen?
