Has anyone tested to see if the Nintendo certified Powercore 20,100mah battery allows for more than 768mhz on GPU? The non-Nintendo approved one looks largely the same albeit with a Nintendo logo, so I'd see not much reason for it to go beyond 768mhz.
its not recognized in hardware as an offical charger. you would have to ask the devs or build sysclk without that limit. even then at max oc i think it likes to take about 30ish watts and ipad chargers cant really do more than 20

First of all sys-clk does wonders for Resident Evil 6 on my Switch Lite. When I first played the game it was like running 14-17fps contantly. I thought it was a mistake but I could not get it any better. Now via sys-clk everything is capped at the highest settings it's not even good, it's awesome getting 60fps and no lag at all.

I am also curious about removing the 460MHz cap. With the official Nintendo charger plugged in I can set the GPU at 921MHz via the application and overlay. It's better to tone down to 844MHz or 768MHz, because at 921MHz you really hear the fan going and you will feel it within the switch when holding. I don't really mind if the battery decreases at 786MHz, but if you can provide me this that would be great.

well i am using the uncapped version for earth defense force world brothers.
the GPU is set to over 600 (I always forget the exact MHZ number ;) ) and except of draining the battery faster I am not encountering any other alarming signals. I recently renewed the thermal paste though.

As someone who never pushes the switch past 768 on the official charger, would that also be pushing the erista battery? Is anything past 460 not recommended?
as i said time and time again anything higher than 460mhz in handheld is gonna destroy the battery on erista (on mariko even 921 might be safe, thats up for debate however, no one has really tested it) On charger you should be fine

Appreciate the answer. I failed to specify that my question was referring to handheld only, so thank you for the clarification.

yup 921 (dont use on erista, it destroys battery)
ok thanks i tried on lite 768 consume around 4.8w and 921 5.8w
lasted:
2hr 15m with 921
2hr 45m with 768

460 to 768 jump 1watt 40-67% gain performance depend on game
768 to 921 jump 1watt 10-20% gain performance depend on game

Is it safe to put all settings to max while docked and connected to the official charger? First time trying this but wanted to know if its fine to do that without the switch overheating and damaging? I would only game for around an hour.

Attempting to boost some performance with fenyx rising.

kinda, the board (at least in eristas case) was never made to support the power draw that 1.785,921,1.6 does. So i wouldn't recommend having max on erista. At least for very long. Overheating should be ehhh but as long as the vents are uncovered you should be fine

also about the charger question, the official charger can provide enough power so it should be good. Things like a 10watt ipad charger cant charge it so i do think that it does draw some power from the battery. Would it damage it, probably not but just keep in mind that to be safe the charger should at least slow down the batterys death from normal usage.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
