It's kinda enviable that it's going to be cracked. I just hope Team Xecuter puts some piracy protection on it so people who bought the OS don't feel scammed. I bought the Pro so I got the advantage of portability so I'm not too upset.

its going to be a cat and mouse game, if its cracked and nintendo happens to block it on the newest firmware or newest game doesnt work with it
then tx will push an update with new protection and encryption while bypassing nintendos attempt to block it then repeat the process
or they just introduce new features like save states, cart dumping ect... and push the new ap boot.dat out

same thing that was going on with gateway

Anyway I needed a jig (and not the trashy 3d printed ones) and the dongle is extremely convenient, so I really don't care either way

I can honestly say I have way more fun getting the games to run or tinkering with my firmware (on whatever system I'm tinkering with ATM) than I do actually playing the game

Me too, its been like that since Wii, the hacking progress, the scene all of that seemed more fun than to actually play the games LOL

Haha, me too. I just like the challenge, and free stuff. I've always done it to all my consoles (Got a Raspberry Pi console & a jailbroken PS4) but I don't really get the time to play them - plus, when you get a game for free it's harder to invest time in it compared to buying it full price as it becomes disposable.

I agree 100%. This time around though I will have my main Switch for all my legit bought online games and the second Switch for any game that I am not prepared to buy. Most of these will be offline games anyhow.

It shouldn't be surprising people are defeating the DRM in a DRM-locked DRM-defeating software; if you stop playing by the rules, then everyone else is going to ignore any rules you write in their place, as well.
I find it difficult to have any sympathy for anyone arguing that SX OS being cracked is a middle finger to paying customers and that pirates shouldn't get away with using cracked copies of it, even if just for the sheer hypocrisy of it.

No offense intended, of course, but it's a sentiment that I've seen expressed, and it's all kinds of two-faced and hypocritical.

Well, atmosphere will do all that and more. The only thing they’re against is piracy. So this 1.0 version is already perfect for that purpose.
