I did something very dumb. I attempted to downgrade without a NAND backup. I'll never reproduce an error such as this again, so please help. The version I downgraded to is 6.0.1 using ChoidujourNX. It's been a few days now without me finding a solution, so I thought i'd ask here. I'm on Hekate, so it's probably not the fuses since I think it bypasses it ?

My switch was already banned though, so something that'd get me banned I can do.

Thank you for your time, even if you do not succeed in helping me.

Have you tried Recovery Mode to Force Update it Back up?

----
In order to enter Recovery Mode, the following combination must be performed:

  • With the system powered off, press and hold Volume Down + Volume Up;
  • Press the Power button while still holding Volume Down + Volume Up;
  • Let go of the Power button and keep holding Volume Down + Volume Up until the maintenance applet shows up.
This results in the system booting into a menu that allows to update your Nintendo Switch through the internet and format/initialize the console with or without keeping user info, screenshots and saves. It is possible to use this menu to delete the nagging update message if your console downloaded an update.

The [1.0.0] variant (known as Maintenance Mode) does not have the system update option. However, downloaded update data is still deleted when this menu is accessed.

Oh, I didn't know the check was that early. In any case, would wiping really help? The best option would be to rebuild nand, no?

If they had the matching NAND dump and the boot0/boot1 they can use that to restore it, if they burned too many fuse and downgraded, the bootloader refuse to boot, have to rebuild with Choidujour.

It's during pk1ldr and/or nxbootloader.
Dunno, OP wasn't super clear about what's happening. I don't believe it's possible to get stuck at the Nintendo logo.

If it's black screening after the Nintendo logo, that's likely a missing/corrupt NCM save (8000...00120).

If it's freezing at the Nintendo Switch logo, there's several things that could possibly be (fucked CAL0, hardware issues, etc).

    i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
