The ISO loader uses a virtual filesystem driver, can't do that in user mode, which this tool restricts you to in an effort to combat piracy. The tool doesn't purposefully restrict to user mode, its just quite difficult to sign an EBOOT in such a way it'll run in kernel mode. No one has publicly figured out how to do it yet AFAIK. The only way to get kernel mode access on OFW is to run the homebrew from the PSP/UPDATE folder, but updates are more complicated to sign, so it hasn't been done yet. Outside of that, it'd only work if the homebrew itself used a kernel mode exploit once it has been launched to get kernel mode access. And that is perfectly possible AFAIK, I'm gonna guess that the ISO loader will be updated in a few days to use the kernel mode exploit from TN HEN, which was detailed at Davee's blog, lolhax.org.Ahh, you're right, Wololo confirms here.

What I read was what he originally wrote.

Is there a signed cfw so we don't have to use hen any more?
No.
There is a signed CFW loader~ For 5.03 and 6.35~ (I love the former)~
I consider a "CFW" to be installed. Something temporary is a HEN or LCFW (as Wololo states). When you say "CFW" people immediately think of permanent hack, something installed. It's important to make the distinction so less people think they can just install CFW. While I'd like to say "no people", we all know some kids are going to try anyways.

They need to get rid of that size limit -_-

Don't worry. Soon we will be able to sign anything...

Also, First post updated. Lots of stuff. Will keep updating tonight and whnever I find or sign new stuff.

I will also include a Noob-proof tutorial so ANYBODY will be able to get these running. I am sure there are some people who don't even know these go in the PSP/GAME folder...

hope i can sign HEN TNB 6.20. I dont want to update. :/

Yeah... I dunno why the other ones have been signed and not 6.20...

6.20 has more stuff for it than 6.35, after all. Maybe there is an issue or two with getting it to work. I will test one I sign and see how it goes, I guess. I have been following Wololo.net and I hope to learn some stuff about PSP programming and hacking from reading up more.

EDIT: added Rubik's Cube 3D to first post.

EDITEDIT: added Wagic the Homewbrew (one of the most impressive I have ever seen) to the first post.

So can you use all these signed stuff with regular cfw? I need a you tube vid

Considering they are just existing homebrew signed, there is no reason to. CFW can load it unsigned. But yes, it'll work. There is NO need of a youtube video. You put the hombrew folder into PSP\GAME on your PSP. That is IT. Then just load it on XMB.

A few questions. Do plug ins go in a seplugin folder like with cfw? My psp 1001 was stolen awhile ago. Recently got a psp3001 bundled with kingdom hearts.

Is there a cheats for ps1 eboots yet that works with HEN?

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
