Homebrew Semi Bricked Wii on 4.2u

Hey guys,

Got a friend that has tried to do all this crap to his console and doesn't know what he has done

He has a PAL wii, but the console thinks its 4.2u (savemii checked)
we cannot access the settings, but before he updated to 4.2 he uninstalled the HBC and whatever he put on there.

I know close to nothing about softmods, but I would like to just take everything off his consle, and get it back to 4.2e PAL, and chuck in a modchip for him.


I have a 528 Nand backup of a PAL console....easiest thing to do would just be for me to flash that on with his keys --- but i googled it and it says something about betwiin, and installing python...im sure there is an easy way to do it.

I have reloaded HBC via banner bomb, and right now im dumping the nand with bootmii just in case i f**k anything up.

Can someone let me know an easy way to apply his keys to my NAND, or how to easily take a semi bricked 4.2u console, and bring is back to its original 4.2e state?


Great thing about this console is that bootmii can be installed as boot2, that means i can't really preminantly brick it right?

dont worry, i fixed it already

made a nand dump, just in case!
then just used any reigon changer

now using wad manager to get rid of all the news and weather channels he has on here

Make sure you remove the USA versions of EULA and Region Select titles as well. They're under hidden titles in AnyTitleDeleter, Title IDs are HAKE and HALE.
