Okay, want some opinions on line localizations in B-1's script (for lack of a better word):
Kratz
$s203対1では$n話になりませんがね$s100………$s20。$n
a) $s20 3-on-1$nNot much to play with$s99...$s20 $n
b) $s20 3-on-1.$nThere isn't much to discuss$s99...$s20
a) is technically less accurate, but sounds better and fits with the general hunting vibe of this portion of the script. b) Is more accurate, but doesn't really fit the flow of the dialogue. Which do you think is better?

Roche
$s20フッ$s100………$s20クラーツ。$n久しぶりの獲物だ。$nせいぜい楽しもうではないか!$n
a) $s20Oh$s99...$s20 Great.$nOur first prey in a while and$n it isn't much fun! $n

b) $s20Oh$s99... $s20Kratz.$nIt's our first prey in while.$nWe should enjoy ourselves!$n
a) and b) both work equally well in my opinion, which is why it's hard to choose between them. For context, a) works because these guys just beat up on a Gundam, which will blow up four lines later.

For the first one, I prefer a since it flows better with the dialogue.

2nd one... I will have to look into that file again. Haha.

First one. I prefer a) because it's flow better.
Second one. I prefer b) but as Clean said.. whether a) or b) is okay for me.

% is not something we can sum up....I think.

The translation effort breaks into few parts according to stages ( World tour stages from A to D, World core stages from 1-4 + final. Overworld Hell 1-4 + Last), data of parts names/MS names etc (these are touched only by CrashmanX and Izzul). There could be more but I've no idea. In any case, summary of the stages are all posted by CrashmanX and Izzul95 respectively at end of page 1 and early part of page 2 in the spoiler tag if you are interested.

Currently, we are tackling B and C stages. So far, B2 is in progress while I just finished translating C5 tonight. While I would like to proceed in an orderly fashion, C6 stage file has not been identified yet. Therefore, I will proceed with C-Ex next week.

Problem, as usual will be manpower. Cleansweep is our lone proofreader at the moment. Despite being a proofreader, he has to be wary of those annoying codes as well. The pro for this will be a more coherent final product of translation since it's done by a single editor. The downside is he'll eventually exhaust himself. lolz. Still, without him, Pique and I (mother tongue is not English) would be in trouble. For that, I'm thankful. Nonetheless, this is not one of those rush project as claimed by the lead, so we'll take our time. As for the other problems, guess we will deal with them when the time comes.

----

This has been pointed out before. One can still complete the game without jp knowledge with the guide/links posted by Pique there. Feel free to use that if you feel "the itches".

Now, back to visual novel... Rewrite :X

Edit: Oh... I forgot... Merry Christmas!

Edit: Thanks to Pique and Cleansweep, C6 is found. Will translate C6 next.

Hello, I've finally found out the scripts of World Core's FINAL Stage.

Thanks for breaktemp's save file,
and AdanK85's helping with the stage screen captures,
and Riku's recommending in using Total Commander tool.

I've finally found out that the Final stage's very first conversation dialog sentence,
spoken by the blue bird 'Arby', is located at Offset 000126F0-0F in Hex Mode view.

It's very strange that it does not start like other stage.
It's not begin with a null 00 followed by $s20 just like other.
It's just a $n$e from a previous sentence look just like a normal page end..

Here is the first sentence.

Hmm... the only reasons I can think for that being that way is that on the first playthrough, you're supposed to go directly from World Core Stage 4 to Stage Final or Stage 4 and Final being really short (in terms of dialogue), so the programmers decided to save space by combining the script files.

Merry Christmas!
May your year be filled with joy, love, and wealth!
Hope you all have a great and amazing year ahead!

By the way,
Right now me(PiQue), AdanK85 and CleanSweep are now working together on Rank B+C stage.
So joy to see team's excellence in different ways.

AdanK85 is a fast interpreter despise he's not a Japanese-born.
Right now he finished C5 and about to begin C6.
Such an amazing progress!

CleanSweep is very active and excel in improving our translated English into better sentences.
And he is a very helpful English-Native speaker in many ways.
Glad to have him in the team.

As for me, I am a technical style (a programmer).
I prefer hacky job like dealing with the Hex Editor, '00' problem, special characters, trials and errors.
But can also do translation job with slowly speed.

(From my estimation, 1 stage took me about 1 month to interpret. lolz!!)
From my end. B-2 stage is now 75% on my part.

I'm thinking about offering ID file insertion help for Adan
while requesting Adan's helps in translating B-Rank stage.
Will update again later.

Overall, I would estimately say Rank B = 20%, Rank C = 70%.

Anyway,
Have a blessed Christmas and New Year!

Well... just putting a wish here seems odd.

Anyway~... been slacking a little and currently in Christmas mood. :X Hopefully, I will start C6 tomorrow. I'm non-alcoholic... so, I won't likely get a hangover tomorrow. :P

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas folks. The only thing I wish for is someone figuring out a way to redistribute line lengths, so I don't have to stress out about super short lines anymore. Well, maybe having someone with absurdly complete knowledge of all of Gundam might help.

Anyway, I'm making my way through C5, so there's that.

Oh wow, I am so happy to hear you were able to find the scripts for the World Core FINAL Stages !!

* it's a Christmas miracle *

Been away for holiday travel for the past few weeks...so I am unsure how the 'A' and 'D' Stages are coming along.

It appears that the 'B' and 'C' teams have been on a roll !!

Loving everyone's focus and hardwork ^_^"

Finished C6. C-Ex next week.

Not certain yet but I might go somewhere without internet access next week. So, C- Ex might take a little while to complete.

It's nowhere near done, therefore no one has really put any thought into how to make these translations easier to install.

what if it is just the command menu's (like moving, attacking, ending movement) would it be possible just to get that in a patch by itself? Normally fine playing the game in japanese, but that is the trickier thing to do.

edit: Alternatively, would it be possible to get a picture/screenshot of the menus translated in order to use them as a guide? Would be just as helpful if its not inconvenient.

oh hello, this translation has quite a while to go before it can be released.

there are teams/groups of people here working on translating different parts of this game.

"just then menus and such" will not be released by this group.

however, if you need a game guide...check this site :

You mean the combat battle menu? Pretty much guess-able but I'm not an image guy so...

End turn/phase
Conditions (win/lose)
Challenge
Overimpact
Captured units
Squad/Force Status
Game Over/Surrender
Info display
