It was going very well today with all of the commotion trying to get the new zelda game to work
and now I see this error:

SD Card Initialised in 1 bit mode

then in microSD info I see SDMMC1 Errors: 3 (3)

quick google suggests that the pins on the motherboard for the card reader are prob the problem

is that correct?

when i try go into the EMC it just goes to a blank black screen

title ID 010000000000000 (might be more zeros)
Error UNK 0x6

report saved to... and it's a .bin file

There is only one "really" fix when your sd card slot/pins are broken. Repairing of course. There is no other way, sorry. But to really make sure it is the case, open your console, remove the sd card slot carefully and check whether the pins on the little pcb are broken or directly on the motherboard. If it's just the pins on the sd pcb, then you have luck because this is easily replaceable, if it is the mainboard...good luck.
