Hey guys,
i just bougth a 256 GB SD Card from amazon and idk if i should format it to 32 or 64 cluster. I read that if you put big files on the SD Card, you should use 64 cluster. Thats true? And why people use then 32 cluster? Some games are 15GB+ and thats not really a tiny file ...
Thanks in Advance! :)

Just for an example I had my 32gb card with 32 cluster size and Mario 3d world took 10 mins to load to the world map and each level took about 2 mins to load I changed my sd card to 64 cluster size and Mario 3d world now takes 1 min to load the world map and about 7 seconds to load each level. So that should tell you exactly why your card should be 64 cluster

64 cluster size will cause files to take up more space on your SD card, particularly when you have a lot of very small files. However, the trade-off is worth it, because the higher the cluster size, the faster the loading speed.

Well some games are like 10-20 GB. And the size really dont matter, since i bought a 256 GB sd card.

Many games are broken up into smaller files when decrypted for Loadiine. Some games might have a few really big files in the game folder, while other games might have a ton of smaller files. Each file will essentially be rounded up to the nearest 64KB when using that cluster size. For example, a 2GB file (not folder) will be roughly 2GB on your SD because it either fits to the nearest 64KB or because an extra ~64KB just doesn't matter in comparison. However, if you have a bunch of files that are maybe 2KB each, each one of those files will actually take up 64KB each. If you have a file that's 65KB, it will take up 128KB (the first 64KB plus another 64KB to accommodate the extra 1KB) on the SD card.

A rule of thumb... 64k clusters are preferred. However, there are a lot of factors involved when referring to load times.
Card size, cluster size, card speed (stated vs. actual), SD vs. microSD, etc., all play a role.

Thanks for the good explanation!
