Great news, been waiting for a good remake since the joke of a remake that was the PSX version. I liked the opening and closing movies but the load times just killed it for me.

Kinda was hoping for more bonus content....maybe another time era to go through or something, but one bonus dungeon is better than nothing at all. I wonder what the reward will be for traversing it?

Between this and Final Fantasy 4 next month, this is becoming a great month for DS RPG fans. The ONLY thing that could make this better would be an Earthbound/Mother release stateside for the DS. I'm voting a Mother compilation, since overseas got Mother 1+2, than 3. how about a package stateside where we get all three? ESPECIALLY after getting Lucas and Ness in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Wow, this is so awesome. I saw this topic the other day but forgot to click on it.

I actually just bought the SNES cartridge two months ago at my local Disk Replay for $40. And I will definitely be buying the DS cartridge. This is one of those games that you want in your collection.

Thanks for the scan granville.

to use that clock as wallpaper, go to http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ctds/
download loader.swf and count.swf
make a .html file in notepad with the following code:

What is the loader.swf and count.swf that you say to download?

Yeah, I have problems with loader.swf and count.swf too. Do they really exist? When I tried to right-click the clock, only Flash menus available, when I tried to click Flash Player Required, it directs me to Adobe Flash Player, and I don;t know what the heck does that Japanese word on the upper-right screen does

http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ctds/ is actually a folder on the internet containing atleast the following files:
index.html, count.swf and loader.swf.
browsers always open the index.html, but if you know the name of the other files in that folder you can open and download them too.

but anyway, ripping those files off the website isn't the best way to get the clock as wallpaper.
here's a better way:

step1: get the clock in screensaver format at http://narutrans.freehostia.com/ChronoTrigger.scr (right-click save as)
step2: place it in C:\windows\system32 (required for step4)
step3: download and install vital desktop from http://narutrans.freehostia.com/vd142.zip
step4: using VDconfig located in the vital desktop folder select chrono trigger
step5: activate vital desktop and configure it to your preferences
step6: enjoy your soundless chrono trigger DS clock.

don't we all wish.

I probably would agree with the post above yours in saying that they'll just open up the site and add new info, screens, maybe some media and teaser of some sort.

and then put a graphic on giving a "in the ball-park" type release date as to when the game will come out

of course that last is total wishful thinking/speculation on my part

Thank you very much for the included download links and the little walkthrough. I now have it as my desktop and it looks great.

Thanks again.

By the way, couldn't I just enable the Chrono Trigger desktop with Windows, instead of Vital Desktop?
