I posted this previously in the Retroarch Switch thread, but as there was no reply I felt that starting a new thread would hopefully get a bit more attention. I am currently having problems with Retroarch 1.8.1 keeping saves in Flycast. I have also had this problem in the 1.7.9 version. I can load saves as long as I don't exit the game content completely, but no game will have saves left over when I close the content and restart it, or close Retroarch and come back. I am also getting frequent errors that crash Retroarch, saying "The content has closed because an error has occurred".
Is the problem that I had installed Lakka on my Switch and it may have also been reading files from the Dreamcast emulator on that? I deleted the Lakka folder on the root of the SD card, and I am still getting these errors. This save erasing issue has continued with the latest version of the Flycast core off of the nightly builds, as well as the custom version that m4xw released which fixed graphical issues in PSO.
I've turned Purupuru Pack on and off and tried every memory card configuration and nothing seems to be fixing this issue. I have even tried the method listed here https://docs.libretro.com/library/flycast/ on the libretro wiki page for Flycast for fixing erased VMU saves, but attempting to "Delete All" on a VMU when I boot the BIOS also gives an error.
Thanks in advance. Any ideas would be very helpful!
