A retro console is something that isn't capable of the gameplay you get in modern games. I'm not talking looks, I'm talking about things that could not be possible even if you degraded a games graphics.

So Playstation/Dreamcast/N64 are retro for me. Everything after is a no no. You could argue that DS could not possibly do most of the modern hits BUT its own hits are as modern as they come.

A retro console to me is 10-40 years old, and/or no popularly used.
