If i make a NAND backup before i mod a wii, would there be any way to restore that nand backup without a re-mod (aka keeping the wii " virgin " )? Maybe Casper2Bootmii could work, but im not sure. I would like to know if i could restore a nand backup on a virgin wii so i can go back just in case anything goes wrong. I'd also like to know that if this is possible, would it do a full " unmod " or atleast no detectable traces at all. If it couldn't do a full unmod, could i atleast go back to a nand backup after ohneschwanzenegger? I already have a virgin nand backup.

ModMii's Casper2bootmii.bat method should work. It would restore it to exactly how the wii was when the backup was made. A fresh ohneschwanzenegger nand should also work. Note you will need a gamecube controller to restore nand backups if the wii does not have bootmii installed as boot2.

I'm not sure why you would want to flash an older virgin nand backup on a wii that is still unmodded. Other than rolling back gamesaves and mii's or other official changes what do you hope to accomplish?

It's worth noting that needlessly restoring nand backups is not advised. There is a (small-ish) risk of bricking if the console does not have bootmii installed as boot2; mainly the risk of power failure interrupting the restoration. Generally if there's a way to fix an issue without restoring a nand backup this is explored first before restoring a backup, especially a ohneschwanzenegger backup. That being said I'd still consider it very safe, it's just not necessarily the safest option (unless u have bootmii boot2).

When i mean restore nand while virgin, i mean restore the nand after ohneschwanzenegger as i am thinking to mod the wii, but in case i want to unmod it, all my data could be there. I do have an rvl-001 so gamecube controllers are in the equation and bootmii boot2 is also, however having bootmii as boot2 wouldn't really count as a full " unmod ". Power failures are very rare in my area, so i might use casper2bootmii.
