Thanks for this, I tried it with Escape from Monkey Island and after the titles, the very first video flickers with large black squares and crashes the Switch - any ideas?

Also, do you think the Playstation Classic would be powerful enough to run this (assume it would need porting)?

No, everything is fine here. Which version are you using ? And also, do you have changed anything in the options ?

Hi guys ! I was so excited to play the longest journey on my switch but it doesn't work :-(

On my /switch/ folder I have put :
switch/data
switch/doc
switch/residualvm.nro

The game is located in the root folder.

(the game works fine with steam or gog)

When I launch the game, I have the following error : could not open shader stark_surface.vortex

from the official revidualVM readme :

Steam version and demo from Steam are missing the fonts directory. The required fonts can be copied over from demo version obtained from different sources or a GOG or retail version.

and

The 2-CD and DVD versions have some of the data files packed in installer archives. The archives need to be unpacked before they can be used.

you can give it a try (don't know if it works, never played this game)

Sorry I didn't mention all the details but Indeed I have added the "Fonts" directory.

About the "2-CD and DVD version" I don't see any .zip file that need to be unpackaged.

It seems to complain about missing shaders.
/switch/data should contain a directory called "shaders" with several files in it. Do you have them ?

Indeed....the shaders folder was empty.... It works now :-) thanks for your help and great thanks for this incredible work !

ResidualVM has merged into the main ScummVM project - I don't know if that has made it into the Switch versions (standalone/retroarch) of ScummVM?

Edit: First release containing it: not yet - guess not so far.
