This is is something I've been working on for the past few weeks, it's a small bit of Java code for Java developers to write PC-side (or possibly Android based) nand editors for the DSi.

It can perform operations on a DSI Nand backup using java, like writing to/from it, installing apps, making tickets and footers, and downgrading.

The code isn't great, I'm not an experienced programmer at all, and I kinda doubt anyone else will use this. I'll release a GUI for this soon-ish, I'm just posting this here so I don't lose motivation.

Possible Questions you might want to ask:

Q: I'm an end-user. What can I do with this?
A: For now, nothing.
However, when I actually release a front end. you'll be able to edit your DSI Nand without ever needing to use command prompt, HxD, or OSFMount ever again.
Even when I release something using this, you should probably check out twl-nf,, it's a great console-side editing tool and will likely be better than anything using this

Q: Why did you make this in Java?
A: It's the only language I know.

Q: The code's kinda bad.
A: I know, if you have any suggestions I'll be more than glad to hear them! For now, the code just works, it's not very fancy or well-implemented.

Q: How do you use this?
A: First, you'll need to link the jar to your path and add the necessary files pack to your ouptut folder. Then, if you're editing a backup file, you'll need to make a DecryptedNandOperator object by passing the constructor the path to a decrypted nand backup, the CID, and the consoleID (all in String form), and then use the methods belonging to that object. Check out the javadoc for more information.
If instead want to edit a nand that's already mounted, you'll need to create a NandDirectoryOperator and pass it the location of the root directory and the nand's consoleID. After that, it should be almost the same as a DecryptedNandOperator.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or to open an issue on Github.

Credit/Thanks to:
@LukeHasAWii and the dsiguide.me team for always being great to work with and for giving me a spot on the team
@dpad_5678 because I referenced some of his tools while making this
the devs of fat32-lib, one of the dependencies for this project
Whoever made this, I used some of the code from there

Programs that use this:

To-do List:
  • Write a GUI for this
  • Make better documentation

I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays.
