Mine has no rattling whatsoever.
Yes, it probably is the gyroscope, but it should NOT rattle.

I noticed some kind of rattling too, but I found out what it was. I held down (as in: duct-taped) every slider and button on the 3DS and shook the 3DS afterwards. And ta-dah: no more rattling.

Take out the stylus and try again. My stylus makes a bit of a rattling sound when it's in the 3DS, along with the aforementioned pedometer sound.

This is most likely (or hopefully) the case. At one point I noticed a rattle when I tilted my 3DS forwards and back, but determined it was the stylus rather quickly.

The gyro sensor is in the bottom screen, I tested it with Dead or Alive at the title screen. If I tried to move the upper screen nothing bottom yeah.

It is your stylus. I had the same problem, like they said remove it and try it again. I think the original stylus that came with the 3DS is useless. I use my stylus that came with the accessory packet I bought. It still rattles but not so much as with the original stylus.

hope this helped a bit.

If it still forth-comes that it rattles. Call Nintendo they may know what the issue is.

Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc

The tech to have quality VR goggles at an affordable price is here, but every set has to have 4 additional controllers and be standalone.

These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs
